Thanks for the news hofan, it's something new to buy and I especially like the Audi R8 and Q5 set.

Well, the Amherst Railroad Show is over, and of course there is no news coming from either RPS or the 1/87 Vehicle Club website. No news is BAD news in this business as far as I'm concerned.

Wow, look at all the interest in Toy Fair this year! Are there going to be any surprises this year? Any new players in HO? We need all of the help we can get!

Let's hope that Brekina comes up with at least one newly tooled American vehicle as they have done excellent work so far. Cam someone please tell Herpa that other cars exist besides German vehicles? Why no modern Saabs, Subarus, Volvos or Jaguars?
I'll be watching RPS like a hawk this coming Jamuary 25, 2014. If I don't see a pre-production vehicle of anything for future release on that weekend, (Amherst show in Massachusetts), then it could be ominous. I always hope for the best, but that has gotten me nothing lately.
Neo could surprise us with some new announcements of American vehicles, and it would be most welcome if the 1969 Charger is part of it!
If Oxford Diecast is there, let's hope they continue with their fine HO cars. Their pricing is excellent, and I hope they expand their offerings of more American cars.

Ron,
Amherst is coming up next month, any chance we'll see pre-production shots of the E-series vans soon? These vans (both cargo and passenger versions), will be the highlight of 2014 for me.

I would love to see Neo continue with American vehicles, and some possibly from the 1990's. Brekina would make me happy if they announce 2 more newly tooled American vehicles for 2014. Most of all, I want to be able to buy a RPS Ford from a hobby shop, preferably before Christmas!

How about some modern Saabs and Volvos, from the 90's- today? Why can't somebody do the XC 90?

Received today from BHOH two Audi Q5's from Schuco; I was very pleased with this SUV and it was a very good buy in today's high-priced market. How many colors does Schuco usually produce? It is all over here in Chicagoland in gray, black, and white in addition to the silver offered. I'll take 2 of each color please!

Ron,
Thanks for the reply. At least it seems like there is no tooling damage or paint scuffs according to your comments. If that is fine, then it'll be a Happy New Year! Who knows, maybe a few models will sneak through the last week of December.
Take care, Vito L.

Ron,
Has the shipment reached the port yet, hopefully in excellent condition? Time flies, and it's hard to believe it has been almost a month already since your update. I have to admit it will be fun to see new product from RPS in the hobby shops again.

One thing I'll always admire about Ricko was the ability to deliver high quality product at an excellent price. The American vehicles were especially appreciated, and my favorite is the Dodge Charger Police car. The 2003 Escalade is a close second.
The day that Ricko left HO (producing vehicles under the name Ricko ) was very sad because I knew that you would not be replaced. Neo can do excellent work, but I wish their prices were lower. I don't see any company producing modern American vehicles again, unless Neo takes a chance. Otherwise, I just don't see it. Welly and High Speed are remote possibilities, but I still doubt it.
The only thing I can do is talk you out of retirement! It sounds like you still have the passion for HO so please go for it!

Let's hope that TSM carries the Oxford Diecast line, or Walthers because I've seen the photos and they look good. I hope they consider some 1960's and 1970's American cars too.

mstar,
I think you answered my question; if the vehicles arrive by Christmas I'll be ok with that. No doubt about it, patience is needed in this hobby, and in my other one, model trains.
