I normally would not mention acquiring an 18-wheeler truck as I have so many; but, off eBay just got an unusual one. Herpa-Promotex one, Kenworth cab, custom painted for Burbank's House of Hobbies in the "Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream and Yogurt" scheme of pink, blue & white with full color graphics on the trailer. Quite colorful, I'll try to post a pix soon. have fun, Swamp Daddy

Did you know that Baskin-Robbins' headquarters is just a couple miles down Victory Blvd. from BHH? Probably the connection between the two--can't wait for the photo!

Hi all: It took me awhile to locate the address and password for my pages at PhotoBucket. Ok, some photos of the Baskin-Robbins BHH special truck uploaded here: s258.photobucket.com/albums/hh280/swampdaddy_01/Go to the Herpa-Promotex sub-album. Somewhere along the line some photos have disappeared from my page at the site; and, I'll have to refind them on backup discs here to re-upload to photobucket. have fun, Swamp Daddy

Just received a bunch of models:
Spark - Aston Martins (Cygnet, V8 Vantage, V8 Roadster, Vantage V12 and One-77), Renault Saviem and Ecurie Ecosse Transporter. All fabulous Spark quality of course.
Brekina Corvette C3. This has to be one of the best Brekina models ever. While I am not a Corvette fanatic, Brekina captured the look and lines of this version perfectly. A must have for anyone who loves American prototypes.
Now Brekina, give us some other 1960's American cars with this level of quality. This Corvette model is one of the best models of an otherwise rather bleak 2011.

Just got the Classic Metalworks 41-47 Chevy pickups and 53 Ford sedan delivery. Both are nice. On the two tone Chevy pickups I'm not sure the two tone separation at the grille and hood area is quite correct, but thats a minor gripe. The tailgate of the pick up looks a little thick and too flat, but thats another minor gripe. These are nice models.

Hi all: From my local hobby shop a trio of Riverpoint Station FORD dually trucks. Two factory painted, one a white kit awaiting my modifications.
For the money, Riverpoint Station offers the best vehicles around. Details are extensive, paint schemes are perfectly applied, price is reasonable.
Have fun, Swamp Daddy

Dear All:
At first I did not remembered who did them, but eventually it came to me. The seller's coment was also humorous:'they are so ugly then make sure you add them to the darkest corner in your lay out. ' Walthers 1976 Chevrolet Nova, and two of them. They are fine, just need a serious painting, which is not my forte (I will find someone). Very few models of this generation of novas been made,so these I got are very fine with me.

. The seller's coment was also humorous:'they are so ugly then make sure you add them to the darkest corner in your lay out. ' That is a funny quote--but the model cars from Walther's are probably much nicer looking that the real ones!! 1973-1979(?) Novas were plently UGLY, but even uglier were the Oldsmobile Omegas--hideous and just waiting for a model, too!! LOL

The Nova based one was made in 1/32 scale (the 1976 model year) and 1/36 scale (the 1969 model year).Majorette did the X-framed front wheel drive version. So if one wants any of these in HO,I believe it is a matter of shrinking these... Reawakening this thread--bought the new Shuco Porsche Panamera from BHH--was pleasantly surprised by it because the photos I have seen on BHH's site and Schuco's make it look like there is too much paint caked on, hiding detail.
The model, in person, shows quite a lot of detail, and the wheels are done well, too. I assume the manufacturer is High Speed, and I must say they did a good job with this!
