Was anyone else intrigued by the mention of the new Norev Renault E84 prototype? I went to boutique.renault-sport.com/boutique/images_produits/7711223678_1.jpg and saw the pic (I wont post a corporate image, but the link should work) and saw that this is nothing but a Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet. Are Norev planning on turning this into a real model or will it remain a little plastic blob in a tube forever? How about the other versions of the Megane? This could be great. All of a sudden, images of Norev taking the lead in 87th scale start dancing in my head.

Dear Sirs:
If my memory does not fail,Norev got out of business only to return at the late 1990's.Some of their 1/87 scale vehicles were re-released and there were new ones, such as the Renault Kangoo van. Also,it seems that may release some more new models;they been doing so in the other scales.

I've seen that the Citroën C2 and C3 Pluriel are already available. I known this Renault E84 prototype (as a mater of fact, I have indicated this link to the Renault boutique to Eric), and I will see for it at a Renault dealer. Some other special versions of the Norev’s re-released models are only available through Renault. Let’s hope this prototype means new 1/87 scale models in the future.

From what I heard Norev recently discontinued several color variants of the re-releases and all versions of the Simca Aronde entirely. Wonder what that means ...

I wonder if this means that some models are now out of production (again) or only out of stock, and not available for a while or not available from now in the former versions and colours. I’ve also noticed that the Aronde was not on the Norev’s catalogue, but so was the R4 fourgonnette in Norev livery before the release of the same model in EDF/GDF or Postes versions. And the 2 fisrt colours versions of the R16 are no more available but yet a new dark green one have been made for Renault. So…
What seems strange to me is that some other 1/87 old models have not been re-released like the Renault Estafette and Simca Ariane.

Norev have also a 1/64 line with a C2, Pluriel and a 307. Would it mean that Norev will release the 307 in 1/87? Maybe that´s the reason that took the model off from AWM previsions? I wish Norev will continue with more new models. The C2, despite is slightly wide, and the wheels have an excesive diameter, is perfectly finished. The model has 23 different parts, including the internal rearview mirror. Have you seen the C3 Pluriel in the modelshops? I think, the ones I saw at Ebay, were Citroën promotional models. Then which other models would come? 307, Mégane, Citroën C4, Peugeot 407? ;D

Dear Albert:
I am in complete agreement with you.Incidentally,I have the 1/64 models that you mentioned.
On the other side,I also saw their 1/87 re-releases and these, specially the Citroen Van,look good.Too bad about the Simca Ariane; that was a nice model, too.

Albert,
You’re right. The C2 and C3 Pluriel I’ve seen were on eBay. I’ve not seen them yet in a model shop.
Albert, Stanhas87
But, why are you both limiting Norev possible 1/87 model to their 1/64 line. After all, Norev is mainly a 1/43 manufacturer and the today re-releases were at first 1/43 models! ;D

Dear Sylvain:
This means Norev can have a good selection of cars to be converted to 1/87.I would not mind a 1/87 Ford Vedette, for instance.
Incidentally, except for the new ones,I managed to grab most of their 1/87 models.I am very glad that they are back on business, too.

This means Norev can have a good selection of cars to be converted to 1/87 And you must not forget that Norev 1/43 today’s production is not limited to what can be found in their catalogue. Many models (at least Renault cars) are manufactured by Norev for Renault and available through Renault boutique (Velsatis, Mégane cabriolet, etc…).

That would be fantastic ;D I would love a Vel Satis in my layouts. Norev also mades the C5, 206 SW... in 1/43, models that were announced by other manufactuers in 1/87 and finally were not released... only a coincidence??

I've seen today in a car model shop Norev's C2 and C3 Pluriel, and in Norev boxes (no more sold as Citroën promotionnal models).

Here are the ones that have not yet been re-released:
Alfa Giulietta Sprint Citroen DS19 Mercedes 220 SE Peugeot 403 camionette (obviously) Peugeot 404 Renault Ondine (is the body different from the Dauphine?) Renault Floride Simca Versailles Simca Ariane
Some of the molds could have been damaged, others may not seem profitable anymore.
