Well a week has gone by at the construction site. They were spending to much time changing heads from the auger to the hammer so they brought in a second piece of equipment to speed things up. Still haven't been able to catch one holding a I beam. Here they are putting an I beam in a hole. I guess that is some kind of hammer used to drive the beam down. Always breaking things so there is a welder doing the patching Then there is the ever present water truck (International) Jerry wanted some close ups of the first machine. I don't know if this will do any go for someone who wants to model it. Every attachment had it's own cradle to rest in. Both sides are done and now they are working along the backside of the construction area.

Interesting Lee, I guess there's a big demand for luxury condos there eh? Kibri makes an auger similar to the blue and white one you have pictured in 1/87 (Liebherr 974 I believe) Wish I had your close-up pics when I built it. Look forward to seeing the excavation work. Thanks for the photos.

Even with the closeups I couldn't begin to guess where all those hoses go or what they do. Sure do love my little Sony Cyber-shot. ;D

Lots of rocks, big and small in the ground. Everyone knows when the bit hits a big one. The whole rig shakes and howls. Here is what the bit looks like after a fight with a big one. ;D

Lee, great reference pics, thanks. Interesting collection of dumps too. Not what I'm used to seeing here on the old coast.

Two pictures of the vehicle that fuels and services all the other equipment. They have dug down about six feet and are smoothing out the dirt. Notice the small I beams welded to the top of the large I beams with two cables running around the property. There are two setbacks in the I beam at the rear of the photo that I would guess are going to be for ladders or stairs. You can see the setbacks in the ninth photo from the start of this thread. My guess is they are going to start putting in the planks between the I beams and then dig some more. We shall see.
