Those photos of the Santa and the street scene were taken late last week out in Jerry's backyard on top of a pick-nick bench. The sun light is filtering down through real trees giving the light/shadow effect.

The camera is a Sony Cybershot DSC T-10. Both the battery and the memory sticks from my old Cybershot fit it so I saved there. It has an automatic low light compensation built in. The first two pictures were taken outdoors late in the afternoon under some trees. The third photo was taken in Jerry's living room with no extra lighting used.
Everything you see was built by Jerry. The buildings are laser cut kits.

Happy Birthday, Lee! Are you sure the cake isn't a resin-cast? --- Just envious! Marc S. Your closer than you think. The base of the cake is styrofoam. Jerry makes them for display in his sister's store. ;D

Being as I named this thread Jerry's Corner, I thought I would show you a picture of a Built by Jerry collection in a corner ;D A couple of my all time favorite photographs of Jerry's work: A model of the Richfield Tower that was in Los Angeles. A model of a automobile dealership that also was in Los Angeles. Many thanks to Eric for the photo enhancement. A model of the Angels Flight that was in Los Angeles A model that is not finished yet of the Brown Derby. Also a Los Angeles building. The real buildings of all four of the above models have been torn down to "make room for improvement". This last, which is not completed, is of the Los Angeles Union Passenger Station.

Things missing? House numbers, garden hose, mail box, milk bottles, children's toys, screen doors, window screens, trash cans, power lines, telephone lines, electric meters, gas meter, etc......... The list is endless as what could be added to make the scene look even more real.
Back when I had a hobby shop Jerry put a model of one of his houses on display. He didn't want to sell it but everyone who came in asked about the price. So I put a $2,000 price tag on it. Jerry was in shock and said he probably would sell for that amount. It never sold.
The prices on real property out here are just as bad. Either one of those homes would easily sell for over $600,000 on today's market.
Palm tree wood is not much good for anything including the fireplace. But the palm fronds burn like a torch. Yes, the fronds are made from feathers. The trees were part of the SMCC line that we bought from someone else.
The two hotrods are Jordan. The other two vehicles are Cutter's

Your modeling is looking very, very good. The yellow Lotus came out great. Yellow is a hard color to paint.

You did a lot more than just the mirrors. Repainted the seats including a white top on each seat. Driver also. You also cut a line for the front have of the door. The first thing that I did was thin the front strip.

It's worth all the effort to make these little beasties when I see what little beauties others are able to make out of them.
