As Austin and Morris make more sense, it is hoped that Morris Minor 1000 and (Austin) 1100 would be seriously considered by Masterpiece/Ricko as they were both designed by Sir Alec Issigonis, who also designed the Mini as well and they were very very popular at their time .

Dear All,
Hi. Well, this thread is now nearly converting into a wish list and as always, very happy to donate when a wish list is being offered/rumoured. However, note early days with Masterpiece and future project announcements, so thoughts kept to a top 3 - from this part of the UK - for British cars are:-
1. Ford Lotus Cortina Mark I (must be a prospective good seller!) 2. Jenson Interceptor 3. Hillman Hunter (even the Iranians built these!) or Avenger (would tie in nice with the new Dodge Avenger as a 2 pack!)
Thanks for now and like the idea of a Austin 1100 - PCS2911 - perhaps an estate will come with a figure of Basil Fawlty (Fawlty Towers TV fame)
Cheers, Gary

Most of the good brands (Alvis, Riley) belong to BMW, right? I want an Armstrong-Siddeley! I want two of them!

Say Bill: Just a wish list here; but, as Ricko has dropped the ball, maybe Masterpiece will take it up for some models like the Shelby Mustangs, a nice big mid-50's Packard, and other interesting things. Now, Bill, just wishing, so don't worry about a concrete reply. Just update us on Masterpiece when, and if, you can.

Masterpiece has decided against the new Shelby Mustangs. Ricko spent so long going back and forth on them, Masterpiece decided to look at other possibilities.
There won't be a Packard model until the current litigation over the trademark is settled.

Hey Bill: What about a big 1971-1973 breadloaf Mustang; maybe a two piece upper body (similar to the Herpa Mustang) to allow ease of simulating the big rocker panel covers so many of those have; and the red, white & blue color scheme they came out in late every summer. Only white car (well mostly creamy white) I ever wanted.
Or how about the new Cobra -- see it in the "XXX-State of the Nation" movie.

BillC: Any further Masterpiece news you can part with? Upcoming lineup releases and when we might expect them?

There's a fair amount of stuff in the works, but nothing I can report on at this time.

Masterpiece shipped its first models (1908 Austro-Daimler 28/35 Maja, 1914 Austro-Daimler 18/32 Roadster in top up and top down versions) to Busch for the European market. There will be another distributor for the North American, UK, Australian and New Zealand markets.
First plastic shots of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, 1936 Chrysler Airflow Imperial Eight and a third model to be announced are due this week.

Sorry, not right away. I can't post photos of the models until I have approval from Chrysler.

Yeah, the Jeep.I am anxious for that one myself. A 4-door Wrangler which is finally made in the USA. Great to see that in miniature.
