a statement in an article in "modell-magazin" could be interpreted in the way, that there could be another Swedish car ?! I've read that as well, basically he said that there would be a model for the 'Nordic neighbours' and since we already have a Volvo, and we could do with a decent model of a Saab......... I am guessing Saab 99 ;D

The 99 would be nice, but it could just as well be a 96.
Either way I, as a "nordic neighbor", am thoroughly excited.
The only problem with Brekinas is that it takes soooo long before they come to the states. I still haven't been able to get an Amazon or a 404 in a store over here.

Skunk: I'm sorry to hear about your trouble with getting the Brekina models in the states. Brekina makes very fine 1/87 models and I have a lot of the Amazons and Peugeot 404s (and many other Brekinas), so don't hesitate to send an e-mail (nordvikb@online.no) if you want some. Best regards, Bjarte

thanks Bjarte! I just might... I am looking forward to the day when 87thscale has their own stand at Nürnberg, displaying various miniscule cottage manufacturers too small for their own stands... Prometheus, Superba, Olivier and others.

The "Intermodellbau" sounds like my kind of place... when & where? I would love to go, although my Dollars don't seem to be worth any more than Reichsmarks or Cruzeiros these days... thanks Bush! (at the risk of politicizing things)

Skunk, There's a great European model train shop in Vancouver BC (Canada) that has a good stock of Berkina models. Give them a try: www.eurorailhobbies.com/

The only problem with Brekinas is that it takes soooo long before they come to the states. I still haven't been able to get an Amazon or a 404 in a store over here. Truck Stop Models ( www.truckstopmodels.com)has started to import the Brekina line. At the moment, they only have the new Porsche 917, but they are supposed to have the Amazon, Peugeot and Mercedes Ponton, among others. The "Top Decoration" Ponton is quite a model. You never hear much about it, but it is really well made. Look for some interesting models from Busch; not what you'd expect. End of comment. Siku will also have some new models in their 1:87 scale line.

No Saab from Brekina but a Volvo Amazon station wagon ... which isn't bad. Also announced: Opel Rekord P2 coupé. No hint on the Porsche 911 yet.

Nick: I haven't heard of any concrete Busch news. You might want to check out this page from time to time: www.busch-model.com/autoakt.htm . They usually announce their new releases relatively early.

Just went to the Busch page, question: What are "Auto-pins im maßstab 1:160"?
