Lledo Bristol Lodekka Model Auto Review states that these are 1/87 vehicles;I agree with them People in the British 1:87 scale society have mentioned this as well. I'm looking for some AEC Routemasters in London Transport livery. ;D Another bus I would like is a Dennis Dragon Made by Peak Horse. The real ones operate in Hong Kong and some have been brought to the UK.

Dear Alan: I do have the Peak Horse Dennis, thank to Bob Kelley, member of Model Vehicles Unlimited Club (www.modelvehiclesunlimited.com).He told me that these are extremelly difficult to find and as I understand,Rietze was its distribuitor in Germany. And,if I am not wrong-but I am not sure about it-Tomica did an AEC Routemaster wilh London Transit livery. These are scarce as well;but as always, check e-bay (US and International) for these.I must confess that I do not remember seeing any of these in there, but who knows.....

One of my favorite models is a Ferrero Porsche 935 Moby Dick. I really like it, because it's a toy, and not a special, very fragile model, I seldom touch because it is fragile. I feel good and safe with it. (I play a lot with it). It is also quite well detailed, just enough. The windows are so thick, but who cares, because they are well hidden. The architecture is simple, strong and always feeds my dreams about creating my own = a set of 6 pieces to be assembled together like a 3D puzzle. I forgot where I got it, but I still have the feeling I found it (I didn't buy it, I am sure) in a strange place, absolutely not related to models and even less to 87th scale ! Actually, one of my options is in the sand on the beach many (more than 8) summers ago. The car itself is special, and compared to other modern racing cars, it still looks very good !! I put 4 photos on keroliver. More is to come.

I understand. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Yes, certain words are changed into others automatically (we want to avoid being X-rated you know ) but this is a side effect that I really hadn't expected..... I can remove the d-word from the list if so desired, just let me know. I must admit I had a good laugh when I read you message though, it is not everyday a famous sportscar is referred to as the 'Moby Thingy'

I think my favourite manufactured models are two kits, the 1949 Mercury Coupe and the 1949 Ford Club Coupe by Alloy Forms. I’ve bought mine years ago, when I was beginning to think of collecting American cars of the 50’s on HO scale. It was my first kits and I was so happy with the result that I’ve decided to look for other cars and other kits. And, through the years, these two models have stayed on the top of my collection.

I have always loved the 1961 Revell Chryslers. They have great potential for conversion. Will always be my favorite HO scale cars.
Has anybody ever seen the 61 Revell Chrysler knock offs from Hong Kong. Made for the American toy company Remco now part of Hasbro, they were part of the action play set "Thimble City"
Athough not as nice as the Revell produced line, they are still very interesting.
They made copies of the
61 Imperial 61 Dodge Dart 61 Plymouth converted as a tow truck

What color were this reissues?I got one of the Chrysler at the end of the 1990's,and thought that it was a reissue from the Revell originals.
O.K.,o.k....does the Revells were reissued in the late 1990's?

O.K.,o.k....does the Revells were reissued in the late 1990's? Nick, As far as I know, Revell models have been re-issued twice, by this Honk-Kong company Joe has been talking of, and by Heljan around 1988/89 (there has been also an article about it in "HO véhicule international" in these days) and for only a few years. But, as Revell models were true to 1961 Chrysler Corporation paint chips and with chromed parts, Heljan models were all grey with black rear bumper and front grille. Also, Heljan models were only available in kit form. As for Honk-Kong versions, I only have seen one, the Imperial, in light blue.

The Hong Kong 61 Chrysler's were made for Remco in 1964 and 1965. Remco issued two different Thimble City Play sets
I actually have one complete set. Both my brother and I got a set in 1965 for Christmas
They are totally different castings not related to Revell or Helgin.
What's really interesting is the cars photographed for the Thimble City instruction sheet are Revell versions.
The 61 Plymouth converted to a tow truck looks just like the proposed customize version in the instructions for the Revell convertacar kit
Maybe an employee at Revell in sunny California moved accross the country to cold Rhode Island and joined Remco
