That famous 300SLR two-seater with start# 722 (which was actually the time it started the race, 7:22am) was made by Morem indeed (ref# 1820). Hard to find one of these though, but there are other options:
- kit from Metal 87 (ref# 8721, out of production) - kit from High-Tech (ref# 87019, still available)

My favorite model is the Co.Met of Milan Alfa 75 (or the 'grale), but sadly i only have an unlisted phone # (348-0608535) to go by. If any one knows of a shop which might be willing to ship a couple to the states I would be forever grateful.

I may have the Co.Met postal address somewhere, not sure if that would be of much help though.
I have yet to find a shop in Germany that stocks the Alfa. If I do I'll let you know.

I buy the Integrale in, what's probably the best shop in Barcelona for 1/87 cars, Rocafort. Try sending an e-mail to them as the web site isn't quite updated. (info@rocafort.com - http://www.rocafort.com)

That's where I got my Lancia from, too. I hear that they don't have the Alfa 75 though.

One of my favourite cars is a recent model I have built. The Citroën Mehari by L´Obsidienne. It is a high quality resin kit of a model that was quite popular in the beach areas in Spain.
Other of my favourite models are: Lamborghini Diablo (Herpa) in PC version, Voisin Biscuter (Anguplas), BMW Z8 in red with hard top.

My current favourites that I actually have in my collection are a wonderful metallic green Rex Juwel Ford 17M diecast model, a not yet completed Dyna Junior resin kit from L'Obsidienne and a JFK Opel Admiral 1939 closed convertible.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a fan of the Thunderbirds. (I didn't realise anyone else knew about it outside the UK(?)) It made me laugh once when looking through a Kibri catalogue my Mother said that the abnormal load transporters looked like they came out of an episode of the Thunderbirds! ;D

Alan,
the Thunderbirds have been televised (and re-run several times) in Holland as well. I suppose it has been on television in other countries too.
The FAB1 was one model in a series which also included models of Thunderbird 1, 2 and 3 and models from other TV-series like Captain Scarlet and Space 1999 by the way. If you'd like to see more of the other models just do a Google search on 'Comet Miniatures' and 'Supermarionation', there is quite a lot of information on the internet about these models.
