I also heard something about a new Mercedes. We'll have to wait and see.

I hate to ask so many questions, but isn't this new announcement supposed to be a modern car? Or should we say modern vehicle other than what Herpa normally makes (Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW)? Vito, sorry for the late reply. I am under the impression that it will be a car. These are the new cars that will be released or presented in 2014 in Germany (not including minor model changes). Alfa Romeo: 4C Spider Cadillac: Escalade, ELR Chevrolet: Corvette Convertible Citroen: C1, C5 Crosser, C4 Cactus Ferrari: La Ferrari, California II Fiat: 500X Ford: Ecosport, Edge, S-Max, Mondeo/Fusion, Mustang, Galaxy Honda: Civic Tourer Hyundai: i20 Infinit: Q30 Jaguar: F-Type Coupe Jeep: Cherokee, Jeepster Kia: Soul Lamborghini: Huracán Land Rover: Range Rover lwb Lexus: LF-NX, RC Coupe Mazda: MX-5, 2, CX-3 Mitsubishi: Pajero Nissan: Qashqai, X-Trail Opel: Adam Convertible, Corsa Peugeot: 308 SW, 108 Porsche: Macan, 911 Targa Renault: Twingo, Laguna Skoda: Fabia Toyota: Aygo Volvo: XC 90 They all look pretty unlikely to me. Did I miss any?

Christian,
Thank you for the comprehensive list. It would be a nice surprise if Herpa's upcoming replica draws from this list and produces the 2015 Escalade, 2014 Jeep Cherokee or upcoming Volvo XC 90. Even the future version of the Ford Edge would be great!

The Ford Fusion and the Jeepster are interesting to me. Anguplas made a Jeepster long ago; and, since myy dad owned one I bought several. Over the years they have all warped and it would be nice to get good replacements. The Jeepster was horribly under-powered considering it's size and weight and would barely haul a small trailer filled with hay up any hill. Still, I have lots of memories of it. Swamp Daddy

Christian,
Thanks for that very interesting list. Doesn't Herpa have a reputation for releasing HO models at the same time the 1:1 models get revealed at auto shows, at least some of the time?
Most vehicles on that list would be interesting in HO, and of course many would be a huge hit!

Swamp Daddy Harry, this Jeepster you mean, is the same as the EKO model? If you want some from their recent production, just send me a PB or mail.

It could very well be the new Jeepster which in it's 50's and 60's version was essentially a station wagon. Also a soft top version was available. Swamp Daddy

Swamp Daddy,
Thanks for the description! I remember the old Jeepster. It would be interesting if Chrysler produced variants of the brand new 2014 Cherokee and called them Jeepsters. The new Cherokee's unconventional design would lend itself to a few variants.
