Does anybody have any info on Neo's Trans Am? What model year is it and are we going to get photos soon now that the show is over?
Also, is Herpa releasing an Audi dealership that is pre-assembled? It was named an Audi terminal, which I hope is a dealership. It looked good, and it could have potential on the layout.

Neo's Trans Am will be the 1979 slant nose model. Marc Schmidt is currently preparing reports on all the major manufacturers, among them most certainly Neo. I'll keep an eye out. Photos of Herpa's Audi "Terminal" here: forum.audimodelle.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1646. Allegedly, it's 399 Euros.

Christian,
Thanks for the reply; that "Terminal" looks excellent, very sleek and modern looking. In Europe, are dealerships stand alone buildings with no service center? In America, we need that less glamorous part of the building attached to the showroom! I'm almost afraid to ask, but how much would this be in US dollars approximately?
Obviously, Neo's version of the Trans Am will be excellent, but isn't this the same model year that Reel Rides chose for their TA? Well, at least we'll get new colors hopefully.

$539.33 for the dealership in U.S. dollars.

I looked at the photos of the Audi dealership and it certainly is a very nice model. Far, far too expensive for me. I would assume at that price the full interior is included and perhaps the auto transport truck with load as well.
I know about 20 words of German (mostly relating to trolleybuses) so I could not read the comments. However, the multitude of smiley faces laughing leads me to believe others find it excessively priced.
Perhaps someone will be kind enough to translate some of the comments and tell us what comes with the building if known at this time.
Thanks, Swamp Daddy

If JM82 is correct or even close(approximately 500.00), that is INSANE. Is it made out of platinum? Titanium? Nice looking model, but does it have a fully detailed interior? Like I said before, it needs a fully equipped and detailed service center attached to the building, and then it still wouldn't be anywhere near the asking price.
What a shame, I could have considered it for a spot on the layout.

While I am happy to see High Speed's American muscle cars back in production I am not so sure about Schuco's pricing. These models are 10,95 Euros (RRP), a whopping 20% more than Schuco's other announced (newly tooled!) car models and much, much more than the original Model Power price. I don't want to start a discussion about prices, but the economic realities behind this don't bode well. Hello: That is very disappointing. Though the original were sold in Europe for higher prices than the US but at these prices I believe the idea of releasing them in different colors will be dead in no time. Since they will be released by Schuco then they will cost more here in the United States than what you mentioned and I doubt there will be many buyers. I was very excited to know that they will be released again especially the Olds 442 as it is one of their better models but with these prices and colors I will pass. I wish they were released in more tempting colors. Regards

Vito, for that price there better be real miniature people selling those miniature cars inside the dealership!
It's a nice looking model building but not worth the price.

Herpa has not yet released detailed information concerning the showroom. The model will probably be made from machined aluminum in very limited quantities and its main purpose is to serve as a display at Audi dealers. I gather that service buildings and accessories are planned for a later release. These need not necessarily be directly attached to the showroom.

The highlight at Toy Fair wasn't even there; it's RPS, and their newest Ford pickups with accessories will be released soon.
As for Toy Fair, it has seen more exciting times and when you get an Audi dealership that belongs in a museum with an asking price that only very rich collectors can afford, that's a crying shame.
Neo is always interesting, and they may have a surprise or two in the future. I wish that Neo would expand to the later 80's and 90's Cadillacs, Pontiacs, and Oldsmobiles. Then again, every Pontiac in 1/43 scale would be most welcome in HO!

Christiam,
If Herpa announces an American modern automobile I won't be able to enjoy it because I'll keel over! If they announce a modern Volvo, Saab, Subaru, or Jaguar for example I might pass out, but hopefully recover! Very interesting.

If Herpa announces an American modern automobile Now Vito, let's not get carried away. But this could be a fun guessing game; I'll have a look at what's supposed to premiere in 1/1 this year.

Dear All,
Hi there. I must admit I feel quite disappointed by the Toy Fair announcements this year. Not surprised though. I think Christian summed it up well by stating that he was 'underwhelmed' by it. It is not surprising considering the recession and that I think it is a reducing marketplace re. numbers of collectors and followers, thus less buyers. However, what struck me as my most disappointing aspect was that each year Herpa generally releases one or two old / young timers. Last year I think they came out with the Zundapp and Heinkel models which were not to my taste, but at least something. In recent years they have announced as examples the Opel Manta B and Fiat Panda, great older models, made and produced really well. This year - nothing. Other manufacturers seem to be relying a lot on existing models and making more versions of them which is understandable but it would have been nice to have a few (one or two even) classic older 60s / 70s / maybe 80s models to look forward to. I have a list of models I would like to see in 1:87 scale - I like 60s/70s box type cars mainly and the one that stands out to me and I am not a great fan of it, though would buy it, thinking why has this not been done is the Citroen Dyane. It would be a classic for Brekina to add to their French collection and allow for so many versions too. Just find it surprising that this has not hit the market yet. Anyway, here is hoping to a year of consolidation, catching up on all the models from 2013 (and 2012) for some manufacturers and making way for a set of great announcements in 2015 (or maybe later 2014). I would add that I am pleased to see Herpa releasing a yellow/black version of the Opel Kadett B rallye. Perhaps the Opel Kadett C Coupe GTE next please ? Gary

Oh by the way, not seen what new models (1/1 scale) are coming out this year, but could Herpa be in league with a new Skoda. They seem to support 1/87 models and not sure if they have a contract with any other model manufacturer nowadays. Gary
