What a fine cut, she's a beaut! It's Windjammer Days on the coast here and the sea is full of tall ships. That 2 master puts many to shame.

Dave, the Mack timeline says the R model was introduced in 1966 and was produced into the early 80's, many here are still in service.

On another forum a member claims to have found a 1/87 scale Mack MB from Shinsei. Any information on this model?

Nick, Thanks, the measurements put the Matchbox at very close to 1/87 (if anything a tad small) but as Peter points out, not all of what this vendor is selling are Matchbox pieces and it is these pieces I was wondering about.

Nick, Just so I understand you correctly, these are the Matchbox B60's? And then all he does is jazz them up a bit with some weathering and decals eh? If that is so then they are very close (but not spot on according to what I've heard)

In addition to the B-60 from Alloy Forms (which came in closed and Bermuda cab) they do a model BX also. Sheepscot does the BX too.

There are a considerable number of Mack trucks offered in the scale. The B 60 model is done by Sheepscot, Matchbox and Alloy Forms. Matchbox also makes an M model. Don Mills produces resin kits of the LJ, FCSW (a very nice model) and the B 875 (actually it represents any of the B80 series) Masterbilt Models has the Vision and the Granite in resin kit form. Puget Sound had the LRVSW and the cabover MB. Jordan Miniatures produced the Bulldog in a variety of configurations. Herpa makes the CH also available several different ways. Ulrich has the Model H cabover.

Seems like a rather bizarre occupation to me. I wonder if he cast them himself or if he has got a bunch of Walldorfs laying around. Judging by the blobulousness of the cars in the pics, I would presume that they are homecast. Håkan, is "blobulousness" a highly technical new term we must now learn in order to be fluent in 1/87ese? If so please give an accurate and descriptive definition please.

Cor, English OO = 1/76 approx.? If so I am not particularly that interested. I perhaps would want only one given the cost wasn't too high (under $20 US delivered). I would however be willing to pay high for the Motorbomb piece if it were ever to be found. Thanks for asking, and if this is an offer, I.M. me. Chester

I have not looked for it yet but in another thread there came up a Spitfire on ebay that was a resin casting, very nice, I did not win the bidding. As a former Spitfire and GT6 (fastback Spitfire) owner I am very interested in them. They are the only models I have purchased in another scale for quite some time.

There is one other that bears mentioning, that being the one from Albedo. However, after seeing this one up close, I do not believe it warrants a purchase.
