Hmmmm....how'd you manage to get a parking spot right in front of the live entertainment? uuuhhh, I guess if you bribe the host... err deliver plenty of ice cream treats for the event...you can get a good spot. But as Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor said, the best location is between the food and the porta-potties, as everyone will walk by! Richard O.

Thanks for posting the update Richard. I was with Ken at the Structure Show and can attest to the fact that he spent almost the entire day photographing the cars from the show. He's put a lot of work into this.

I hope Ken does this again next year. It could be a one of the best such events in the U.S. and the display is far superior to the usual rented table at a convention or swap meet.

Ken is doing a fantastic job with his contest, both in models entered and photo coverage. I agree with Bill C in that I wish this will become a yearly contest.

The photos are great as are the models. Just setting it up and taking the photos must have been a lot of work. My hat is off to Ken for a great contest, it displayed some very fine craftsmanship.

One of the most original ideas in years. And worthy to be continued. I've enjoyed the pictures and storyline quite a bit. Good work all around.

Yes, it's a shame that it is all over already. What a great little tribute to the scale, there's been nothing like it before. Many thanks for all of Ken's work. Ideas are floating around for something to happen next year. If anyone has any, let's hear them.
The Kruise will be the focus of my next article for Toy Trucker and Contractor magazine that will be available in February.

I think the event needs a sponsor...

Chester, I bought this kit a bit-ago, but only thought about it as an idea for the cruise grounds yesterday: www.blairline.com/di/Instead of making it a back-drop, place it on a base with various movies "playing" on the screen. The participant's car would have to include figures watching the movie or whatever. It would not have as many events occuring as Ken's cruise, but could be entertaining. Richard O.

Cruising the drive-in restaurant is another idea. Definitely another venue for hot rods and customs.
