The models on the table look nice, but too big to be 1/87... ;D
Seriously, that's incredible work.

First, this contest is in 1/87, isn't it? I see a comment about 1/25. Second, The windshield on that convertible is fantastic Third, but not as fantastic as carving model cars out of grains of rice. Way to go Chester.

Hello, gentlemen: First off, I'd like to thank Chester for the link to this forum and for mentioning the K&J Kruize. Second, thanks for all your comments about the Kruize. It's been fun so far and I suspect the show will be going on for a long time. I'll try to provide undates as they happen. Thanks, Ken Hamilton The Kruize officially started when the first Kustom Karavan arrived at the Fairgrounds: This view from the K&J Hot Air Balloon will give you some idea of the number of early arrivals. All in all, there are over 60 cars from more than 15 builders. A lot of guys got really involved to make the Kruize a success..... images30.fotki.com/v473/photos/1/15405/5495782/00313-vi.jpg[/img]

FYI: Here's how the cars for the Model Contest were done. Not much detail, but they're too small to inspect closely!

Man those cars keep showing up over and over. Who knows I just might get famous yet. For the record, they are 49 Merc, 49 Ford from Alloyforms, and a clear plastic 49 Merc from ?, as I dont remeber the manf. The Alloyforms cars were built 20 years ago when I got them.

I am glad to see these pictures, because they remind me that I bought an Alloy Forms Mercury ages ago, with the intent of making a lead sled. Your pics are a challenge as well as an inspiration!

Here is my version of a '49 Mercury leadsled kustom: Chopping the top of the Alloy Forrms casting was a bit of a challenge. Richard O.
