No luck in finding a trace of Miber or LH sofar though, but we'll keep trying. I have found the original LH address meanwhile: LH Industries PTE Ltd. No. 6, Joo Koon Road Jurong Singapore 2262 Maybe that could be of some use ... oh, and there is a phone number as well: 8610055. ;D

Dear Sirs: Without a shadow of a doubt.Miber did created very interesting models be the Aston Martin 4-door,Ford Escort,Lancia,Rolls Royce Camargue, the Toyota Celica and the Formula one racer. The one I wanted the most-the Aston Martin-I finally got it.I do like the brand, altough I do not have any wishes left for it.

How about their Lotus Esprit ? (It needs a lot of work, I know ) Question: has anyone here ever seen the Miber Honda Civic in real life ?

Miber's Esprit looks more like the Giugiaro prototype than the production version.
If anyone has a spare Honda City they don't want...

About the Honda Civic....yes, I saw one at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 1995. I met with the owner of Miber at his booth. The booth was bizarre to say the least. He claimed that his van was stolen and all of the models he had on display came from a local hobby store. If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was a front for a drug operation. ;D In any case, we talked about importing his models into the U.S. and he seemed interested. He gave me my choice of models as a result and I chose the Honda (Acura) NSX. I have never seen another one since. The NSX is no where near as nice as the MGM model or even the Mini Collection version, but because of the story behind it, it is one of my favorite models (probably one of the rarest in my collection).

Dear Mark:
That means that the NSX is a prototype model? Boy,if so,those are beyond valuable!

Mark,
could you provide pictures of your NSX ? Together with the story you shared in your post that would make a nice addition to the Miber page on the site.

The NSX had been shown at the 1994 Toy Fair for the first time and I have never seen one of these for sale. Nice "find", Mark!
Other samples shown in 1994 and 1995: Peugeot 405 Paris-Dakar, Benetton B192, Alfa 155 DTM, Iveco Turbostar. Those were obviously ready to be released, but only the Alfa was made available to my knowledge.

Eric, I will forward a digital photo to you via e-mail on Monday.
Christian, I never saw the Benetton. I always wondered what happened to Formula One and Indy cars shown in their literature.
After the Toy Fair, I made numerous attempts to contact Miber at their two German addresses. No luck. I even had a friend of mine try to locate them in Singapore (he travels there for business). Again no luck.
I guess a lot of their models are much like the Minichamps F1 models that were shown in the literature but were never produced (Williams FW15, Williams FW16, Sauber C12 and Ferrari F93A).

I was also told that Mibers are difficult to find (even in Germany) and to reach.Hmmm.................

Just to clarify, Miber is out of business since 1995.
I have a photo of the Benetton and the other 1994 "releases" - will upload as soon as I find it.
