I have been lying low working in 1/1 cars over the some. Soon will be getting back to Hydroshink projects.
I have used the WD40 was well. I had a similar problem of hydrostrink masters sticking to the latix mold.
Does the distilled water reduce the number of little air bubbles.

Great job, looks like you're almost there. I'd give the measurements of the adp piece but as discussed elsewhere, I doubt if they're correct.

It took about a week to shrink down. Using ice cold distilled water and dish soap seems to end the air bubble problem. I do poke around with a coffee stir stick knocking the bubbles out of the cracks and crevices. The WD40 has ended the sticking problem.
We have cast four different pieces using this method and have gotten great results.
Jerry pronounced the pickup shrunk and ready for remolding so we made the second mold today.
The pieces alway come out a little off so Jerry gets to chop and glue. One piece took eight cuts across and four cuts lengthwise to get the vehicle looking right. As some of you have found out already, cutting and gluing pieces back together and keeping them straight can be a real challenge

Hi folks, I´m new to this forum. I found it via Google searching hydroshrink. I also made some try to shrink models and also figures down to 1/87. I hope this is not off topic, because I tried to shrink star wars models to H0. I can post some pics, if you want to.

Any good results? Pics can't hurt, but I don't know the first thing about Star Wars figurines.
How'd you get Hydroshrink in Germany? I hear that it's rather problematic.

What do you mean with, you don´t know the first thing about star wars figurines? I ordered to times. The first time I had to go to the custom office and pay to get my order. The second time it came normal with the post. Kurt

Shrinking from 1:18 is pretty hard, I think a lot of detail gets lost in the process. I wonder if it's easier to correct any problems at each stage of the shrinking or if it's better to do it all at once.

Well, I think that a quart (plus an AMC Pacer) will even out my existing debt to you. Thanks Cor! Håkan That would be nice, I'm ready to start shrinking!

I like the numbers on the wall (035), a slick solution to how to keep track of all those silicone molds. And naturally, the model looks great as well - ADP watch out!

Jerry and Lee, You just made my day, the truck looks great! I'll wait until you get it finished before I make my next order. Jack
