I am looking for two models that I don´t know if exist or not.
The Ferrari F50 and the 512 TR with Ferrari shields and other details. In other words Private collection details.
I have the Private collection Testarossa, F40, Lamborghini Diablo, Ferrari 348 but haven´t found those I mention first.
Do you know about them?

Ok I'll bite. Is Private collection a company or just what it means - from a private collection? And if from a private collection, who did them?

Ok I'll bite. Is Private collection a company or just what it means - from a private collection? And if from a private collection, who did them? I take it you're not a Herpa fanatic... PC is a series of better detailed Herpa cars. All the Herpa Ferraris are beginning to get hard to find, it seems, and especially the PC models.

Albert,
F50, yes, in red as a regular release model. I think it came with the hardtop, but need to check. Quite hard to find these days - I am looking for one myself.
EDIT: Additionally, there is a yellow F50 w/hardtop that was a special edition for the 1999 Sinsheim model show. It, too, featured a PC box and all the details. It's even harder to get than the red PC model.
512 TR, rather yes, as a limited edition (labelled MCM for a Munich manufacturer of lady's bags) in turquoise green with all the logos, chrome rims, etc. Not a promotional model, but delivered to hobby shops as part of the collector's edition in the mid-to-late 90s. I guess it was the car Michael Cromer of MCM was driving at the time. You need something very fancy in Munich in certain circles.
And then, there is the 1994 Collector's Club model, which is a black 512 TR with complete PC decoration. However, it came with a transparent engine cover. This one should be the easiest to get of all the models, often sold on eBay for less than 10 euros.
To complete the list of PC Ferraris, the 1992 Collector's Club model is a yellow 348ts in PC decoration. It is the only ts in this style as the regular releases only contained the (red) tb.

If it has chrome bumpers, I am interested. If it has spring steel bumpers, I am a fanatic.

No bumpers at all is better. I can make allowances for overriders by them selves - like on an Alfa SZ or a Ferrari 250 Lusso. ;D

Looking at the ebay.com, Herpa PC is almost unknown over here. No wonder I never heard of it.

Looking at the ebay.com, Herpa PC is almost unknown over here. No wonder I never heard of it. Lee, The best days of Herpa's PC models lay some days behind. Initially, these were perfectly decorated models, humbling today's Busch CMD models at best. Later models showed Herpa found a means to make quick money by labeling everything Private Collection and selling it at a premium. Today, Herpa's expensive Brilliant models (eXtra shop only!) are comparable to the first years of the PC series while most current PC models lack the love for detail Herpa displayed in the past. When Herpa started that series in late 1989, they caused a hype among collectors. Everybody collected these, paying ridiculous prices. And there was a huge number of faked models, regular-release items simply put in a spare PC-case. Soon, Herpa would only produce PC-boxed modeld for the prototypes' manufacturers, plus they started the Collector's Club to let people know about genuine Herpa models. The hype eventually faded in the mid-to-late 90s, and now, most PC models are available for 5 to 10 euros at swap meets in Germany. Still, there are some rare or wanted items such as some of the Ferraris, most Alpinas, and almost all the truck models. Marc

5 to 10 Euros? Wow! I often go to a local swapmeet and see someone who has some recent Mercedes benz models in Mercedes packaging going for 1.60 Euro (Exchange rate estimate ;D) I will have to snap up some of these now that I have told you! Not sure if they rank as PC models though.

Then that´s the one I am looking for. And I didn´t know about the yellow one. Some days ago I got a F40 PC model in yellow and also that 348 TS. It is a pity that the 512TR wasn´t released in red but as a standard model without shileds and logos. Now these are the Ferrari (Private Collection)I have: Ferrari Testarossa White Ferrari Testarossa Red Ferrari 348 TS yellow Ferrari 348 TS black Ferrari F40 red Ferrari F40 yellow Ferrari F40 turquoise Does the F40 exists in black?

Does the F40 exists in black? Yes, although I do not know whether it received the full PC tratment with shields and all. It might just have been released in a PC box and fitted with chrome wheels. I think about the only fully badged PC Ferrari missing from your list is the regular-release 348tb in red. Marc

That would be easy to solve if there were a decal sheet with shields. I have only seen specific decals for trucks, firebrigade, police. The closer I know are Alpina decals.

I just bought a set of shields in various sizes, intended for 1:43 scale modellers, but it will apparently take 7-8 weeks before I might get them. I will tell you if any of the shields are of a suitable size.
