Dear Sirs:
I do not care much about Bruce Willys or the Die Hard trilogy, but I saw the third movie from that series and I trully got awed by the vehicles that appeared at this movie:Chevrolet Caprice taxi,1990 driven by the guy itself;Dodge Diplomat,1991 Chevrolet Caprice police cars;Yugo,Mercedes (450 SE?) sedan and a Dodge Ram-car of the villains. But the vehicle that awed me was one that I saw in very few movies:Autocar dump truck (Macks,Pets did showed up as well).Plus a good amount of construction equipment and other land vehicles.

I just saw a movie about the 1972 manufacturers championship series, "The Speed Merchants". Narrators include Vic Elford, Helmut Marko and Mario Andretti. You get close-ups of the personal lives of many of the drivers (many of whom competed in F1 as well), including footage of Ronnie Peterson and Jo Bonniers fatal accident at LeMans. This is of course very interesting for me as a Swede... The fashion is great, but the cars are even better: Alfa 33 TT/3s, Ferrari 312P, Matras, Lolas, etc, etc. Go here to buy it, you won't regret it! www.autosportsltd.com/smvideo.html

You know what the ultimate 87th scale movie scene would be? The Italian job! I'm not talking about the recent remake (Although you could do it I suppose. I wouldn't know as I haven't seen it), but the original version with Micheal Caine. Herpa Mini's, a Roco Land-Rover, the Alpha Police cars, (Not sure who makes them, although I read about them somewere) and goodness only knows how many other Italian cars and Trucks. Like the Fiat car transporters, Hmm? "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" ;D

The police cars were Alfa-Romeo Giulias. Brekina is making very nice models of the Giulia, though no "Polizia" versions, as yet.
Good luck with the Harrington Legionnaire bus used to pick up the Minis, though. ;D
A few others cars from the film:
Lamborghini Miura Aston-Martin DB4 Volante Jaguar E-Type, Roadster and FHC Thames Trader Dormobile van (escape vehicle for the rest of the gang) Fiat Dino coupes Caterpillar tractor

The car that literally defined "Back to the Future" would be a nice modelling subject. I have asked Autosculpt about the possibility of a DeLorean with flux capacitor , but they are not sure it would sell. Also, "Kill Bill Vol. 2" had an appealing Karmann-Ghia convertible ... I am already disassembling the IMU piece in my mind. ;D

I gave a 1:18 scale version to my Brother for his 25th Birthday last year as he is such a fan of the trilogy. Pity I couldn't get a 1:1 scale one, though! That gave me an idea. Is there anyone who makes a 1:87th scale Cadillac Ambulance?

Is there anyone who makes a 1:87th scale Cadillac Ambulance? Ghostbusters? You could probably scratchbuild one from the Busch Fleetwood, I don't think there's a model of the ambulance available.

All the Busch funeral hearse needs is a paint job and some lights.

Yeah, but I don't think we're talking of the 1970's Cadillac.

Yeah, but I don't think we're talking of the 1970's Cadillac. …which is, by the way, a 1966 model. If I remember right, the Cadillac of "Ghostbusters" was a 1959 model. The best will be to use one Focus 1961 Cadillac Ambulance, that'is if you’re lucky to find one! ;D But on the contrary one 1966 Cadillac Ambulance can been in "Bullitt" (the one used to carry the Ross’s corpse from the hospital to the city morgue). Roofline different from Busch’s model though…

Yes, I have a Matchbox version. Not sure what scale it is, though. Maybe I could scratch-build if I had the prototype dimensions.
Here's an idea for all you military buffs out there: Kelly's Heroes. Now, what does everyone remember apart from the Jeeps and the International Half-tracks? "Will you knock it off with those negative waves, Moriarity!" ;D Oh, yeah, those "modified" Shermans.

I remember the Tigers in the square. Referred to, by Moriarity, as a piece of junk. Faulty fuel system being the major complaint as indicated by the refusal of a cigarette by the German tank commander. I don't know if this was a real problem they had or just a Hollywood fabrication for the sake of dramatic expression.

Dear Alan:
I was not aware that Matchbox did it. The ones I know posted on the 1/64 section, and these are between 1/72 and 1/76 scale.
