I found a new silicone glue called FixAll (made by the super glue people) at the dollar stores around here. Nice size tube. It does very well on paper (and I use it to glue printed interiors and details to the plastic walls of buildings). It will hold together some parts; but, it needs time to set before having any strength. Also at the dollar stores in this area is a super glue gel (slow setting) which I also use to add strength to parts being joined; Two nice tubes for $ (also 6-pack of tiny single use tubes for $). It also needs time to set us but allows adjustment of parts. It suffers the other ills of normal super glue: fingers will stick, terrible fumes (smell) requires good ventilation, and the vapors will mar most nearby surfaces (meaning usually your workbench) so use a cardboard layer in between while items are setting up. Keep a container of "nail polish remover" handy with the top loose but where you won't knock it over in case you glue your fingers together you can get them apart. Nice young lady at the dollar store (love those stores ) wanted to know why I needed the bottle of nail polish remover as I was a man so I told her I didn't get the right shade on when I last did my nails; she's probably still wondering about me . Have fun, Swamp Daddy

I am very bad with glue (meaning I get it all over the model), but have gotten better and better, especially with the gel. Have to love the dollar stores for their cheap glue.

Hi all: Another glue that is handy is Woodland Scenics "Scenics Accents" glue which is a gooey white substance meant mainly to glue scale people into a diorama without the need to "hold" them in place while it dries. You dab as little as possible on the people's feet or furniture legs. I quickly dries transparent and is then 'tacky' and you can sit the person or object where it goes. It's worked well for me IF you wait until it turns clear before placing the scale person . It is expensive at a Hobby Shop. Sorry, the $ stores do not have anything comparable.
Have fun modeling, Swamp Daddy

I use the gorilla super glue gel and apply with a toothpic for stuff that needs strength.
For detail stuff, the flex-i-file glue and aplicator. It works great for plastic stuff.
And to put body and chassis together i will add five minute epoxy after it is glued and dried to add strength.
