Looks great! Is this a brass kit or did you do that by yourself?

It's not a kit, it's home made. Of course the cab is photo etched.

You did a great job on that! I actualy asked that, because the frontfenders were different from the 1/1 picture. But maybe I didn't look good.. It's hard to see. The longer I look the more I see ;D ;D

Hi Chester, I'm sorry I didn't contribute for some months: I'll try to make up for the lost time!!! And you? I've seen that your wonderful old trucks (and dioramas) are going ahead.

Hi Barnaba, welcome back on 87thscale. You comes back with a very ambitious project. I´m really happy to see more and more life in the last weeks on this site, it was quite calm at the beginning of the year. In which country the Astra is build? Best regards nick

Yes, Astra ( www.astraspa.it ) is an italian manufacturer of off road trucks and dumpers. Since 1986 it's been incorporated by Iveco and the most recent Astra trucks share several parts (engine, axles...) with Iveco Trakker trucks. In Italy until the '70s trucks used to have right hand drive, even if we used to drive on the right (also my old Fiat 690 is right hand drive) ! The left hand trucks in the pictures above were for export. My 1969 Fiat 690N3

I'm looking for some help to make the other Astra truck, that will be a cement mixer. I'd like to make the mixer in the picture above but I have not enough datas. It is a Beltrami italian mixer manufactured under licence of Smith, an american make. As Beltrami does not exist any more, I'd like to contact Smith if it's still in the business. Does anybody know how to contact this company? Has anybody got any drawing or picture of Smith mixers from the '70s? Thanks in advance images4.fotoalbum.virgilio.it/v/www1-4/534/53465/436726/BM19betonieraSmithBeltrami-or.jpg?rdm=0.8569832275351504
