For those of you who are also registered at the Mo87 forum and who may not have followed all the commotion over the last few days: all nick names will be changed into real names (given + last name). You can contact an admin to have this done, or I guess one of them will contact you in due time if your name is not known.
A bundle of reasons for this, but mainly an increasingly hostile climate which nearly led to a complete shutdown.

Wow, I missed all of this. I guess I'm better off without hostility.

Not sure that there is a climate of hostility or more a paranoia of the admins. I have a big problem with "giving away" too much privacy to big brother as well. And of course it is very interesting for some companies to get lot of names of modelers and collectors. Even if the owner of such a site can resist, some hacker will be very interested in the names ...... nick

Hostile climate at a 1/87th site? Are you new to the internet? Seriously though, forums tend to become increasingly difficult to manage the more members they have. Mo87 has about 2,000. And Nick, I do share some of your concerns, but your last sentence doesn't sit well at all with me. Furthermore if you replace 'paranoia' by 'lack of joy' you may have a case there. I have an idea of what you mean by paranoia, but frankly, that word can only come from someone who has never run such a forum. In the end it all comes down to one decision. A forum with changed rules or no forum.
