I hadn't seen anything about the Zis 5 bus from Arsenal M (military resin kits) on this thread. I recently picked one up and here's a pic for you bus lovers. Note the transit type pedestrian door at the rear.

I noted Truck Stop Models have the Alexander Dennis Enviro500 (double deck 3-axle unit) as used in some cities like Vegas at $39.95. With all the good reports I've had on this bus I will be getting one soon . Swamp Daddy

I also love the bycicle rack set up. A very worthy model for the collection. Nick K

From another site, not totally confirmed, is that Minatures by Eric will discontinue their 1/87 White transit bus models in resin. If you want any - go to the website and see if any are left. MbyE will continue to make the Canadian Car Brill T-44 trolleybus model which is a hollow shell with no floor or wheels and was designed to mount on a Faller Car System chassis. The pole shroud is included; but, not the poles. The do offer some very nice streetcar poles which are quite expensive but would look great on the model. Swamp Daddy

I emailed Eric yesterday. Since this is the first I had heard that someone had vintage buses, other than the Jordan, and seeing that they were going to be discontinued.
Eric said that they have already been discontinued, 2 months ago, Low demand and the molds are worn out.
If any one knows where I might be able to pick up a White 788 or 798, please let me know.
I guess I'm a day late and a dollar short...

These transit buses do show up on eBay from time to time, try there. also, sometimes you need to read back posts on a thread, check out this 2008 post by me: 87thscale.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=296&page=8toward the bottom of the page (may be page 9 by now), listing these buses when I learned of them from another site. they had been out awhile even then. a short Google search showed some dealers carrying items from Minatures by Eric: www.central-hobbies.com located in Vancouver seemed to have a pretty extensive stock, you might check with them for a White transit bus. And, here is an obscure item , Decals for the APM old look buses: www.zeteo.com/departments.ihtml?deptid=803&page=FIRSTEnough to do 10 buses. First you have to find 10 old APM buses on eBay (they do show up from time to time). This may be off base; but, I understand the APM old look bus was a 1948 TDH4510 have fun, Swamp Daddy

It's been awhile since I've had some new bus news. CMW following their sucessful GM parlor coach and transit bus from the 50's have issued a 3rd bus of the era. Perhaps the most unusual design of it's time - the GMC Scenicruiser. Many of which I rode in the 60's Go here to see the prototype photos: www.classicmetalworks.com/gpEasy/index.phpAnd, note other new items on the way including a DeSoto and eventually a fairly 'modern' Packard. Thank you CMW. Have fun, Swamp Daddy

Here is a page of downloadable paper buses: www.norbtach.nl/bouwplaat/Bussen/Bussen.htmlThey look good; but, I hve not printed any. A number of North American ones are in there including the GM Sceni-Cruiser and later type Greyhound buses. City Transit too. have fun, Swamp Daddy

HO scale buses do not often appear on eBay unless they are terribly overpriced. But I won 5 Brekina buses at reasonable prices. When they arrive I'll post photos at my Photobucket pages. If others did not get bids (duplicates of the models I got) I will post the auction page here.
Photos soon, Swamp Daddy

Woo-hoo, my 6 eBay HO bus wins are here. Beautiful. Pix shortly. Won two Mercedes-Benz 0321 older transit buses, Two M-B O5000 (older prototype) over the road buses, one of which is a postal bus with package trailer and roof rack, and two hard to find 1-1/2 deck buses. One is an M-B O317, the other a similar Bussing 1-1/2 deck bus. Each of these latter two are 3-axle rigid frame units. I sure wish you could get a wide variety of North American type buses like you can of European prototypes. My collection is growing. One day I'll get around to putting trolley poles on the roof of some of those 1-1/2 deck units to make them trolleybuses. Such units in real life were among my favorite prototypes.
