This is really the only diorama I have completed, and I can't recall how long ago I built it (10+ years?). I scratchbuilt the garage including the removable roof (out of basswood), darn near everything inside (wood and styrene), the chainlink fence (bridal veil and styrene) and some of the outside clutter. The garage originally only had a small foundation base which I later added onto to include the parking/storage area (covered in sandpaper), the asphalt driveway (crushed black rock) and static grass. I thought I had better overall shots of the dio, but its only about 5x7". Enjoy, Richard O.

Sweet. I especially like the missing headlight on the Ford in the garage. Respect!
It is always fun to build old beat up vehicles, with parts missing and so on. What intrigues me about building wrecks is how much more effort it is to reverse engineer a missing fender for instance. Many will just cut a fender off of the model, but this looks entirely different from real life. I love it when someone puts in the effort to build up the internals of a car to get the actual look.
