Really nice Peter. You have a lot more guts than I do with the chrome detail work. Good results.

Beautiful model, Peter, and a very fitting combination of colors. I miss your website about your projects in varying stages of completion, any plans to show some more of your work again?

I miss your website about your projects in varying stages of completion, any plans to show some more of your work again? I don't have any plans for building up another small website at the moment. On the old website the pictures had gone some day and I couldn't log on any more, I don't know what happened there myself. Most of the projects there had been cancelled anyway, I had improved my modelling skills or gone in a more serious direction with some of the projects (like the Lancia Esagamma), so some of the projects shown there have been cancelled or revised. I will eventually add some pics and text to the "in progress section" in future days again but some of the projects that give me the most fun at the moment have gone a little bit "anal" and I fear it's a not so exciting to share how I spend hours on making prototypical wheels with a non-hubcap design for the Herpa Alfasud since the progress is so small in detail.

I assure you that this is highly interesting to me at least. I too got a little too pedantic, spending several hours on the net to figure out what color the meter needles on the dashboard of a Saab Sonett II two-stroke were. Such attention to detail can be quite paralyzing, huh? I hope that you intend to make castings of said Alfasud wheels? I imagine that someone (Automobilia? You?) could create quite the market making "supering" kits for Herpa's Magic series, as well as perhaps the recent torrent of re-released old models. I know I would be a likely buyer. And finally, good to see some of your recent work, Peter! Love the color.

Well, here are two models that I managed to complete, the rather new Drummer NSU-Fiat and a Roco Landy: I didn't do anything too fancy on the Landy, mainly painting some details. I think the Drummer Fiat is a good models but some little flaws needed to be removed. First thing were the wheels, they just seemed to big so I changed them to some of a cheap diecast Volvo Amazon and some small tires from the Edition Atlas series (the Peugeot 604 tires were too small, so I swapped them around). Next were the side windows, they spelled out "Product of the People's Republic Of Cina" loud, so I removed the awkward chrome prints and did a little reshaping by mainly widening them out and adding the "triangle window" pillars. I'll add a little bit on the Alfasud wheels on the "in progress" page.

Curtain up for my newest kits number 2 and 3: These are my first spray-paint jobs and I only have a can of silver hence the same color on both. The Quattroporte was very challenging, the base model I used was an old ERTL diecast and it wasn't one of their best, I had to rework most of the body and move some lines just a tiny bit to make everything look in the right place. But after three complete overhauls I'm happy with it as it is. I also tried to get a nice interior that wouldn't make too much trouble casting it and also had to build the rims myself. On the Alfa I only had to move the front bumper because I wanted it to be a Euro spec model, the rest was fairly easy, thanks to the Magic Alfasud the interior also wasn't too much trouble. But after all I'm happy that they are finished, time for some newer projects. Both kits are now available. If your interested in any, pass me a note. Kits come with sperate tyres and rims. So if you don't want to use the resin wheels you can always fit the rims to some other set of wheels. I haven't come around to cast many of them so far and can't promise to cast some new right away so there may be a little waiting list if interest is high but I promise to try my best.

Hello: What a surprise? Great work Peter. I like both and could not find weak spots on any but the Alfa is the one I was looking for for a long time. I will PM you so please reserve one of each. best regards

Oh wow! I have been following all your work with interest, but these are definitely the best models yet.
It is amazing to see the Quattroporte in 87th scale. What a marvelous addition to the H0 universe!

Dear All:
Myself I am happy to see the ERTL model reduced to HO, and such a great job done in the process.

Fantastic, they look flawless. I am especially thrilled with the Maserati, but how can you release the model of the year in the first week of January? ;D

how can you release the model of the year in the first week of January? ;D That way I have lesser competition for 2007. ;D How can you say that model will be my best for the year in the second week of January? Maybe I'm starting slow... Glad you like it.

Well, that sounds promising. ;D
Incidentally, does anyone know how the Royale differs from the Quattroporte (from an 1/87th scale point of view)?
