Joe, to post directly to the forum first put [ img] then the url of the picture and then [ /img] so that it looks like this: [ img] url [ /img] no spaces.

Thanks Chester, It must be Yahoo that won't allow the transfer of pics . I tried the 1-87 vehicle club pics like you did and they work.

That's right Joe, photo's from a Yahoo account won't work. If you get a paid Fotki account (not the free one) they will work and I'm sure there are others. www.fotki.com/Of course now you'll be able to treat us to some of the finest modeling in the scale.

Hey fellow modelers, After some consideration and a tip from Chester I started a website type of deal on Fotki. To keep all my pics in my computer and wait for it to crash someday and lose it all seemed like a waste. Check it out if you feel inclined to do so. It will show under construction pics and whatever else I decide to throw on there, maybe some prototype info, ect. Feel free to sign the guessbook if to only call me a A-hole or whatever. eex-joe.fotki.com/Joe Enriquez

I think Joe's extensive in-progress shots are great. These are the kind of tips that don't need an explanation for all of us (beginners). Of course seeing the finished model is the kind of eye candy we all live for. The Fotki albums look terrific Joe.

Yes, amazing work. What do you use to make the rivets on the chassis?
Is EEX a real company or your own invention? (I guess it could be both)

Thanks very much for the compliments guys. Skunk, the rivets are from Tichy Train Group part #8017. They simulate rivets or bolt heads well . They can be drilled and inserted or like I do. I shave them off with a razor and pick them up by poking them gently with a sharpened pointed pin. I then touch it on the pulled out liquid cement soaked Testors brush and put it where I want it. A slight twist of the pin will release it and allow you to move it slightly on the surface before the cement dries. It's not something for the faint hearted as you 'll lose a lot to the great carpet vortex. ;D EEX is a made up company and is actually a modernized version of Eastern Express Co. I made it up because I wanted some custom decals made for my models about 15 years ago and then modernized the logo last year when I had some more done. The knuckleboom T800 has the old decals and this W900L has the new ones.

Your new logo looks good. Does Tichy make different size bolts?
Also, do you use alclad for the various shiny metal bits prevalent on your trucks?

P.S Joe your guestbook doesn't seem to work. Cheers Nick

Yep, Tichy makes a selection of sizes.
Yes, on that particular model there is Alclad II polished aluminum, and chrome paint. As well as Bare Metal Foil adhesive backed material in chrome.
