Hi everybody, I have an Alloy Forms Hudson 1949 kit. As Nero Wolfe, the fat private investigator created by Rex Stout, my favorite p.i. since I was a kid, used to have a Hudson, I tought I could as well paint mine the colour(s) of his car. I don't realy want to reread all of the novels to find the right colour(s). I checked various fan clubs without finding the info. Does anybody here knows or remembers the right colour FROM A BOOK? I don't trust or care for movies or TV series. Thanks for any help loupgarou

Hate to bring this up, but I recall Wolfe having a Heron (a fictional marque) in most of the books I read. As I understand it, the Heron was followed by a Cadillac when Heron went out of business. I would assume at least part of the car would be yellow as that was Wolfe's favorite color.

BillC, you are destroying my faith in life, or at least in my memory! I never had any doubt about that ! Maybe it was because my first serious toy was a Dinky Toys Hudson Commodore (I still have it). Thanks anyway for your answer, and I really appreciate the infinite amount of knowledge you have about the industry! loupgarou

Dear All:
I do not know if they covered Nero Wolfe's work, but MAR had some articles about famous novels and the vehicles which appeared in them, plus the avaliable models. It was brief, but no less interesting. There was an article on James Bond (and his Bentley).

I wonder if he included "Miss Agnes," Travis McGee's 1936 Rolls-Royce pickup or Elvis Cole's Sting Ray?
