I've recently bought a couple of Wikings very beautiful Iveco Daily, a wonderful light truck to drive. But they need to be repainted, so how do I disassemble them? It seems like the doorhandles are a part of the chassi. Any suggestions? I'm not keen on using too much violence.

A long time that I tore it into parts! I recall that it's not glued together, so a bit of violence won't hurt... Removing the grille, perhaps including the headlights, by pushing it/them from behind (through the wheel-wells) as well as the rear-lights will help. The door-handles are part of the interiour; you just need to use a thin knife and insert it between body and bottom plate so that you can lift up the body, carefully moving it over the handles.

Jonas,
I believe you have the van Daily, not the Pickup. First of all take off the front and the grill, easy to do inserting something like a cutter by one side.. Also take of the two rear lights. These are two independent parts. Done that, press slightly the doorhandle of the rear door until you have it out of the hole in the body. Now go to the double doorhandle of the doors in the right side and push it while you move the body of your Iveco to the rear. The body will be released.

Thank you both for the advices. Yes I have the van, has Wiking made a Pickup? I've managed to remove the grill and the headlights. I will continue trying and hope I don't break anything...

I was wrong, Wiking didnĀ“t make the pickup. I had in mind the Busch pickup of the previous version.
