changing colours

Hi guys,

can you change the colour of plastic? I have blue lights on the fire truck however they are red in real life?

Nick,

you can not change the colour of the plastic itself. But you could either replace the blue lights with red ones (several manufacturers have accessory sets that contain these lights) or paint the blue lights silver and give them a coat of clear red.

It is possible to give clear plastic a color but I'm sure this isn't what you're asking. If one adds food coloring to Future floor wax and dips the clear plastic parts in, you will get a beautiful colored plastic (probably should have thrown this in the tinted windows thread).
For red emergency lights, I would follow Erics advice. Busch and Herpa have some decent emergency light sets available as accessories.

Thanks but I need red lights look identical to the blues ones i have. SO it looks like i'll be getting some clear red.
