Hi there fellow modelers, i want to know how can i deattach a cab or sleeper from truck chasis of promotex models? i dont want to use excessive force worrying about breaking the hooks that attaches to the chasis. I got a habit of making drivers from clay and put them inside the cabs to make it look real. can somebody help?

Perez, The Herpa/Promotex cabs are pretty easy to get apart. Start by removing the hood and fenders which hinge on the front and can be spread apart at the bumper to remove completely. Slide the air cleaners up and away and the cab should easily lift up in the front and away from the clip in the back. Sleepers then can be pinched or pushed in the front at the bottom and lifted out the same way as the cab. Everything snaps back together in reverse.

Well I just solved my problem I had to remove the drive shaft from the chassis, it is removable from the rear wheels this exposed the clip at the front of the cab, and off it came Now to strip the paint and I have a beverage truck that I want. Don ChilliwackB.C.
