Hello,
I am working on 2 Carbone 1/87 Ferrari's P3. I need to put in the headlights but I am a bit afraid of doing this. What kind of gleu will not damage the "clearness" of these headlights, so you can still see the paintwork under these lights after putting them in?

Wernere333, There is a product from Microscale that is called Krystal Klear that is used to create "glass" that works well as an adhesive. It is available at Walthers ( www.walthers.com ) It is virtually imperceptable as a glue. As a slightly lesser substitute one can use white carpenters wood glue. Chester

Werner,
Kristal kleer or Liquide Tape from Microscale are perfect for the Job! Some dealer of American trains must have it for you in Germany. Or else over here in the Netherlands. Kristal Kleer is ment to make windows but I use it to glue selfmade windows, that's moree effective and both glues won't fight with the clear plastics.
Grüsse aus Holland.
Cor.

Werner,
Sorry Folks Just a minute in Dutch!
Groeten, Cor.

I tried to find some time ago the Krystal Klear in Barcelona without sucess. A modeler with a lot of experience gave me a little trick. It consists in use carpenters wood glue slightly disolved in water. Then once you have installed the headlights and the decals, you varnish all the car. Not only it will strengthen the union but will optimize the look as well.
I have seen cars built by this modeler where the join between the headlights and the body was almost invisible thanks to that trick.

This method might be a good way to attach them (as well as headlights) to a model.
