Yes, except for the bumper, it's all built from scratch. I'm still not totally content with it. But just a little modifications, then I will make a short run of resin copies. The Pegaso is made using an Eko model, on which I've lengtened the cab. It was originally done a few years ago and I did a complete overhaul on it about 1,5 years ago. It still had the original glazing glued in. Trying to remove it, I bursted the cab into about 7 or 8 pieces. Therefore the overall shape is a bit inconsistent and I'm still trying to fix it again, that's why this model takes so much time to build. I don't remember exactly how I did the roof on the Fiat, I built it in about 1997, I have taken one from another model, but can't remember from which. I made a totally scratchbuilt front that time and started a complete overhaul on it about a year ago. Slow progress, I know.... I have been out of putty for some time.

I found a set of the Boley wheels while searching where I had hidden my Fiat models (mounted on the green Fiat 190 as a third axle). In direct comparision to the Herpa wheels they look.... exactly the same, well almost. Just the tire is a little smaller in dimension, but you have to look very close to see that.
I also found the blue Fiat again and I must say, it's pretty ugly and very grotty modelled. The roof was taken from an Iveco Turbostar and cut down. Not very prototypically. It lay in a box next to a Lima Fiat I forgot I had it and another untouched Herpa Cab, so the decision fell to build it new. Hopefully better this time...

Your model is quite impressive! ;D Keep up the hard work, so the rest of us can continue to be inspired, and or jealous.

Just another question about the Lancia: how did you make the fron grill?
I was intrigued with Pegaso long cab from '60s when I first saw in Spain: it's unusual because the roof slopes down curiously from front to rear.
THe cab I'm talking about is not the same as yours, but the front is the same, I suppose.

Looking at Ebay, I've found some Eko Pegasos, but the cab looks not too close to real.

I know which Pegaso you're talking about, there are two series of this cab. The first one (the Eko model) has the nickname Pegaso "Barajas", which referers to the City (near Barcelona) it was built. The second series is mainly called the Pegaso "Cabezon". I built one of the latter, too. It's built out of the Eko Pegaso with the grille from an Eko bus and modified roof and cab sides. But it still needs some glazing and minor modifications: singular.piranho.com/pegasos.jpgThe one on the right is a Pegaso "Cabina Cuadra" scratchbuilt again. I have quite a lot of Pegaso pictures collected from the internet over the last 3 years. And I can give you some links to spanish sites, too. Tell me if you're interested. The grille from the Lancia is made by cutting out some styrene to the right shape and gluing a checker plate (plastic) behind. The surrounding of the grille is made of plastic package material from a Herpa box. Quite simple. I'm still looking for some pictures, measurments and any other information on the Esagamma/Esadelta types. Especially the back of the cab and the measurements are more or less unknown to me. That's why I'm not coming forward with building it. If you can help me out a bit, please let me know. First, I wanted to build an Esagamma E, but regarding some pictures, I had the impression the Esagamma cab is wider than the Esadelta. Is that right? P.S.: I like the idea of building an Astra....

Oh, thanks for the infos about Pegasos. Your models look really interesting again!!! Astra??? I'm an Astra fan too. I have planned to make a BM19 or BM21 half cab with betonmischer, but I've just tried to cut the cab from plastic and I didn't like how it was, so I've stopped, planning to make all the cab in photoetched in the future. And now...the Esadelta. I'm sorry I'm not experienced in Lancia trucks, so that I don't know if the Esadelta C and Esagamma cabs are the same for a certainty; I think so, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I think to have a Lancia plan, maybe a Esagamma, I just have to look. And if it's not enough, I can ask to a friend of mine who is more experienced than me in Lancia trucks. I can send you his email address in a private message, so you can ask him direct. Let's have a look here digilander.libero.it/esatau503//esagamma.html for a history of Esagamma (sorry, in Italian) and here for a photogallery: digilander.libero.it/esatau503/pagina1.htmThe site is digilander.libero.it/esatau503/ ,but it's not completed yet.

Dear Barnaba,only 87:
In the issue of the Pegaso trucks, there are the ones which are made by Antonio Adamuz. Info can be found at this site.
I do have one of the Lancia trucks which was made by, I think , Penny toys. Unfortunately I can not post my own photos.

Thanks for the info. Even if it's since yesterday that I can't open the mainpage and all the pages under the address 87thscale.info (is it only a problem of me?), I've tried to search with Google and I've found this page: hspegaso.en.eresmas.com/modelismo1.htmlThe models are really impressive, but I think it's hard to have one, as are limited series. Do you have an idea of their cost?

Dear Barnaba:
The site was down Sunday but is back to the normal now. I would recommend to enter in contact with Antonio Adamuz in order to assess avaliability and cost of the models.

Yes, now it works, but it didn't till tomorrow morning. I've seen the page on this website, and the models look really wonderful. I'll write to Antonio as soon as possible and I hope the kits not to be incredibly expensive.
