For a future rally car project I am going to need some add-on lights, not the ones you see on modern rally cars but the ones used in the 1970s. I know Roco used to have these in an accessory set but since that's out of production..... any suggestions on how to make these ?
BTW, if anyone has one of these Roco accessory sets lying around and also happens to need a set of Roco Michelin figures, you know where to find me. ;D

What about the Widea Rallye Escorts? I have two incomplete Roco sets, I don't know if these are the ones you're looking for. Each set has four different types of round lights and one square type. If you're looking just for the big round ones I would just need your address, I have no use for them: singular.piranho.com/rocolights.jpgDoes the link work?

Not for me it doesnt... The Widea lights are excellent, though. I have also bought 2mm styrene tubes, rounded off the ends and cut them at a suitable place. The advantage of the Widea ones is, naturally, that they are less work, but also they come with stickers. Doesn't the Herpa Ford Escort also come with rally lights? This set me thinking: I wonder if Automobilia will ever release a Rally transkit for the Herpa Alpine A110? I have said it before, but Herpa seems very suited for releasing a whole series of classic rally cars. Monte Carlo 1972 anyone?

The link didn't work for me either but I found a way to have a look at the picture anyway. And yes....., those big round ones are the lights I was looking for ! Thanks for the offer, I will be sending you a PM with adress details. Eric

And Eric, if a Fulvia is indeed your project I have some questions regarding decals, because I have been thinking along those very lines for some time.

Skunk,
that is indeed what I am planning... how did you guess ;D Decals are going to be a problem but I haven't really given that much thought yet, other models are waiting to be finished first....

I read in another thread that you had purchased a Lancia Fulvia from Jens Müller (something I have been trying to do for some time), and since building a Rally Fulvia was my first impulse I put it all together when I read this thread.
Good luck.

The Wiking Peterbilt wrecker comes with a tacky lightbar with 2 different sized lights on it. I took a pair of them and flattened them like a rally light (I used to run Cibie on my trucks years ago) merely by slicing the back off of them. They quite nicely resemble a rally light and with either a clear lense (Krystal Klear) or some homemade decals would do nicely, in my opinion.
