Resin castings have a mold release oil on them which will stop some paints from sticking to the model and leaves little air bubbles in your paint finish. (look at some of the new pictures of Jerry's painting, {not posted yet} to see what I mean. I looks like the vehicle has been in the rain.) The solution is to take a fingernail brush and Comet kitchen cleanser and scrub all the surfaces of the castings. This will micoetch the model. Rinse in warm water and let dry. You should not have any painting problems now.

Seems like you read my mind. About a week or so ago, I was going to post and ask what others use to clean the mold release from resin castings. I have heard many recommendations , (fantastic, Weasly's Bleach White Tire cleaner, ect ect) and I guess it just depends what the particular caster uses as a mold release as to which cleaner works best.

Well Lee,
It will depend of wich resin it is.... Because there is resin and there is resin... SV Modèle tells in his build-description to clean the model by putting it in trichloor for two seconds. Well I'm a bit afraid to do so but if you can try it on some flush... In any way you can "sand" the model first with a toothbrusch and -paste.
