A few weeks ago my daily driver got wrecked, so I needed a replacement. In my heart I was ready for driving a classic car for a long time already, so I decided this would be a perfect chance to look for one. I decided on a classic VW Beetle and after searching and test-driving several ones I bought one yesterday! It's a Diamond Blue (a very light, greyish blue) 1500 from '68 ('69 model), which was imported from Sweden to Holland. It was restored by (and bought by me from) a Beetle specialist, some minor things still need to be fixed, it has to be put on Dutch license plates, but I hope to be driving it in about 2 or 3 weeks. I'll post pictures of it when I have this lovely car!

Yahoo! I got my new car 3 weeks ago, and I simply love driving it every single day! It took some time to show you the first picture, because Yahoo photos stopped their photo-sharing services and forced me to move to Flickr, and I have to say... quite unwillingly, because I don't like that program much... So, I will have to find a new service that meets my demands. Anyway: for now, check for a nice picture of my car at: www.flickr.com/photos/sander_87/sets/72157602390723823/

Congrats! I also like the Protege grille on the thing. Bet you wish it was a Familia GT-R... Funny you stated this .......... I am in the process of turning my 323 into a Gtr clone, I bought a Corksport 323 GTR replica front bumper and the GTR hoodvents , Along with E spec fender indicators. Hence why i have not been messing with anything 1-87th for the past few months but i do have a boatload of 1-87th projects piling up. Oh yeah i bought a 3 bedroom house so i can have my hobby room. The protege nose is to be gone soon. I am replacing it with a 323 hood and fenders. And how do you cut the gtr vents?

JDM look is great. How are you going to make it into a four-wheel drive?

Yay! Congrats on finishing the 323.
Of course, once you start modifying, the car is NEVER actually done.
