Oh, I don't know... I get a strong retro feeling from both designs. If you want a jellybean, check out the little people-mover in the background. Despite all the naysaying, I would still love to see some 1/87 scale replicas of advanced designs. When I look at pictures of Mark Maticek's models of the Gehry Walt Disney Theatre or Calatrava museum, I can see one of these cars posed out front. I have also been very tempted to ask Syd Mead how much it would cost to license a model of one of his designs. Hot Wheels did the Sentinel and it seemed to sell fairly well. He has lots of other cars and trucks that would make interesting models in 1:87. Come to think of it, I might ask if Mattel bought all rights to the Sentinel.

Dear Bill: I know whta you wll say about my reply, but Maisto is the enthusiast (or were,as the Transit Authority series existed) on concept cars.I can say I got all they produced and it is a hands full inventory of. The Syd Mead was an enormous surprise. Before you stated about it,I thought this vehicle was Mattel's creation;got extremally happy when I heard that was a real, not a designer's dream, creation. Hot Wheels models is nice, and I have an array of them (even th cop car one). Nick K I

Yeah, that´s fantastic! Would be great see some of them in H0. On searching of the `56 Impala Showcar, I found this site with lot of showcars of the fifties and sixties. It´s worth of having a look here: www.autoweteran.gower.pl/concept_timeline.htmlfun nick ingmar

Hot Wheels recently produced the Alfa Romeo BAT9. I picked up a couple. I really would have rather had one of the other BAT cars, but any of them would be nice.
