Looking at the Saurer trucks website it seems they may be coming on strong with a line of trucks. There first offering is a series of dump trucks with two different types of cabs. In the private collection part they are listing a number of cabs with their own stock numbers. I wonder if it is something to come in the future. The dumptrucks that I see look good.

They are obviously Roskopf models. The question is if they have bought the molds ... does anyone have more insight?

In the private sammlung (collection) there is a shop with a four axle dumptruck for sale. Is this also a Roskopf?

Dear Sirs:
Is not Saurer out of business? If is back, that is good news, because there were almost no Swiss vehicles in business.

They are obviously Roskopf models. The question is if they have bought the molds ... does anyone have more insight? To my knowledge, the Saurer 5 D type was never modelled by Roskopf. And the prices are pretty cheap for this limited editions. Must be someone very enthusiastic behind Saurer Truck.

Just to be clear, we are talking about these: www.saurertruck.ch/katalog1.html.htm . To my knowledge, the Saurer 5 D type was never modelled by Roskopf. That's right. Maybe they developed a new nose to go with the Roskopf cab? If they are Roskopf models at all, that is.

Dear Sirs:
Nice models and it seems that no other company manufactured these-specially the Bernas.

Skunk - Did you look in the personal collection under Roco? Did Roco do all those or is that Saurer's work?

Ah! I own #1602 (Albus Salzburg), but judging from the models displayed, Roco never offered a PTT (Swiss Post) version. Also, painting a silver and blue model yellow might be hard, but I'll try it if I can find the proper decals.
All the Rocos on display seem to be original, but I could be wrong.

The question is if they have bought the molds ... does anyone have more insight? Christian, I got in touch with Marco Cappelletti, who is the guy behind www.saurertruck.ch. He told me he had a mould-maker create new tooling for him, but inspired by the Roskopf models. (Better don't let Wiking know...) He plans to sell the models in small numbers in various colours and decorations - at the moment, only via that website. If sales permit, there will be different models. Marc

Good report Marc!! Good news
Now if he would only add some English to the website so us illiterates can follow along. Does he ship worldwide? Having a die maker make new dies is expensive. I wish him the best of luck with his business.
Eric - Have you linked the website yet?
