Wow... that should set the Bugatti buyers at ease.

There's a stretch of Interstate 10 in West Texas that would be perfect for that car. . .

I 5 in Central California is another very long, straight stretch that it would give it a chance to run............

I can think of a few spots on I70 as it passes through Kansas. I went through in 1968 sharing the driving in a brand new Olds 442. (that was before they came up with the 55mph limits)

What an ingenious piece of machinery. It would probably look even more impressive in a race against a Ferrari or another super car.

I don't know of a ready-to-run model yet, but when we talked to Bugatti about licensing, they told us the 1/87 license for the Veyron had already been granted to someone else. Hope they make it someday.
We had to "settle" for another Bugatti. Oh well...

Well at least the Veyron should eventually be coming to 1/87.
I would put my money on Wiking since they have produced so many VW products although this seems pretty out of character for their range.
Busch is another possibility given all the Audi's they have done. In addition, Busch always seems to come up with an unexpected model every year.

Does this model (the one in the movie, the new Veyron) exist in 87th scale ? I know the BBurago, the MFM (never seen), the BS Design, and the US Models. Having made a casting of the Bburago I am very familiar with it's flaws, so it is easy to see that both the BS and the US versions are copies of Bburagos. Although US design went through the trouble of making an EB110 SS rather than the "regular" GT version.

Again, regarding the former, I refuse to call it a toy.

Um Nick,
I believe I mentioned the 1/87 license had been granted, so I don't think Mattel will be adding it to their 1/87 line. Of course, Mattel might just trundle in wheelbarrows full of money until someone says "Yes," but as of now, I think the Veyron will come from another manufacturer.
