We see many photos of vehicles from the sides, front and rear, but few from above. So since I am in a location where I can get overhead photos, I thought I would start this thread for modeling ideas as this is how we see our models most of the time. ;D Each posting by me will be by a type of vehicle with edits to the postings adding more vehicles of type.

That's strange to me, seeing an Isuzu truck with a GMC badge! It's nice to see all these international variants on a site like this, though!

The COE trucks sold in the US suffer from a lot of badge engineering. Check out the Kenworth Volkswagens, for instance.

That truck was probably built shortly after Freightliner bought Ford's heavy truck division. The deal included the then-new Cargo. They were badged as Freightliners for a short time until Freightliner settled on the Sterling brand.

Dear Bill: Thanks for the info.Love these models which had a short production run and always look for them in miniature. According to a post that I wrote another thread, model was, supposedly (according to what I saw),either FC or FL70. Nick K

It is interesting to see what everyone else finds to talk about. I would never have thought of the GMC badge. My thoughts were on the sunroof and the semi trailers roof.
