While Alfa Romeo wont be building the V8 coupé shown a couple of years ago, a more realistic car for most people has appeared in the new Brera Coupé just shown. A gorgeous car, I certainly hope that somebody will offer it in our scale!

Maybe Ricko? They seem to be committed to 1/87th Alfas and Maseratis. Would love to see the Brera when Alfa returns to the American market.

Alfa Romeo could return to the U.S. as soon as 2007, according to Sergio Marchionne, Fiat Auto's new CEO.
The models would include the Brera, debuting at Geneva next week, the 159, which will also bow in Geneva, a Brera spyder planned for a 2006 European debut and a version of the Kamal SUV built in cooperation with GM.

Theres is realy a good chance for Alfa Romeo. Maserati and Alfa want start to push her brands together. It makes sence to present the "quore sportivo" and Maserati together in one store, like Mercury and Lincoln in America or VW and Audi in Europe. The customer can grow up with his favorit make.

I agree wholeheartedly. But who in their right mind would choose the ungainly Maserati Coupé over a Brera with the same engine? This way, Maserati and Alfa can at least happily co-exist in the same showrooms. And, I can one day aspire to owning a six-cylinder Brera whereas the original, pure, full-blooded version would probably forever have had to remain beyond my reach.
