The most expensive I have drove was a Ferrari 355 GTB. It was five years ago, but I keep the sensations in my mind as if was yesterday.

Actually, I'm not quite sure. In the late 60's, I worked at a sports car accessory shop that was owned by a TVR/Maserati dealer (at another location). On weekends I would pick up such things as Maserati Quatroportes and park them in front of our shop to attract business. We had an occasional Ferrari or Alfa but the one that stands out most in my memory is a car called a Bizarini GT America.

Audi A6 2.7T. Not really a conversation piece... Almost got a job at an exotic car dealership that would have meant that I would have been ferrying around Lotuses and such, but school interfered.

Well, having got this job at a car storage compound, and going by the price listings in a magazine, it would have to be the Jaguar XK8 I reckon. ;D

Having done spare-time jobs at Sixt Rent-a-Car, the Audi A8 4.2 quattro or Mercedes S500 were probably the most expensive cars I have driven for a couple of 100 miles. The BMW M3 sedan (E 36/3.0) a friend of mine had a few years ago (when it was new, probably back in 1994) was another highlight, and not only for the list-price. The BMW 850Ci someone in my family still owns (and occasionally drives) might be considered, as well.

I have to include a truck to this as I believe it probably cost as much or more than any other vehicle I have driven. In the early 70's I drove a Peterbilt 288 for a leasing company. A far cry from the Maseratis. (but as comfortable!)

Either a Hummer H2 or a Cadillac DeVille. Not an experience I am eager to repeat, in either case. The Hummer's a waste targeted at the self-image-impaired and the Cadillac is like driving furniture.
I have driven older Jaguars, Mercedes, BMWs and Porsches, all of which were superior, but in terms of absolute dollars, euros, pounds or what have you, the two above had the highest sticker prices.

When I bought my first Triumph around 1967, I was torn between a 1952 (~) Jaguar XK150 , or the 1964 Spitfire. Both asking $1200.00. So when I drove the Jag, it wasn't worth very much, but today it would probably fetch a mortgage or two. So the older Jags, Benz's & BMW's today may easily be worth more than the pregnant mailbox you refer to as a Cadillac, or the surrogate thingy you call a Hummer. (Sorry? Can I say thingy here?) Oh, and did I say I don't like them either Bill? Chester

Well, I bettered myself the other day: A Range-Rover Vogue! We have had a lot of Land-Rovers delivered lately. All export versions. It's interesting looking at the destination stickers on the windscreens and seeing one going to Russia, next to another going to, say, Saudi Arabia!

The one to Saudi Arabia had some personaization or was an "standard" Range?

Not too sure about that, seeing as there are several more like it (They have about a thousand of them on site! ) The particular one I drove was pretty well kitted out with automatic transmission and electric everything. There was even the arabic equivelant of "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" on the door mirrors!
