Very nice oliver:
I especially like the XJ220 cemetery - sort of like the pile of unsold XJ220's that Jaguar had on their hands in the '90s. ;D

It seems to me that whenever one of us begins scratchbuilding a car, some manufacturer presents it. So if we start all those cars we desire, maybe they will be built for us?
good luck olivier, kenavo

Dear Keroliver: This is a very interesting project. It seems that in real life,Jaguar had troubles selling that model.I do not think that this will happen to the model-and I can say that this is a desirable one. ;D

Raaaaaa...
I have been away for quite a few weeks: extra baby sitting, extra work, the website 'keroliver' is offline and I have no idea what's happening !!, and for our subject, the Jaguar XJ220... a huge waste of time for a big step in my modeller's life...
I have hit my head quite a few times. I lost something like 3 prototypes, because (now I know and I put some band-aid on my forehead, Raaa, just a few scars) the material I use is porous (a kind of plaster) and actually when I use silicon to mould it, it just doesn't set, because the liquid in the silicon is sucked by the porous material. !! Stupid me !!
Raaa.. I have to play baby sitter for the next 2 weeks, but shoud find some time to create a new prototype (I am getting better, faster and more and more efficient every time...), paint it with a water-proof paint and try moulding.
To be continued...

We suffer with you. Take it easy, at least you are learning a lot.

Oliver, I was wondering where you had gone to!
Watch the forehead.
Raaa? I would have imagined something more along the lines of "ROGNTUDJUUUUU!!!!!"
By now, you must be fairly familiar with the shape of the XJ220. I myself have memorized every part of the Maruti Gypsy LWB by now, and I'm not nearly finished yet... Good luck!

Dear Oliver:
Good luck with your project.
See,this is one of the reasons why I do not have a 'bad' model list.At least someone tried to do it,and now is seen how difficult it can be.

I am glad to see that work is still progressing on the XJ220... those compound curves can cause a lot of distress, no?

To whoever is interested in the Jaguar XJ 220. NO, no big manufacturer has done it yet... I may be wrong, because I'm not that much in modern Jaguars, but I've seen a New-Ray Jaguar that looked like a XJ 220 to me about two weeks ago in a second-hand model shop. If you want to call New-Ray one of the "big manufacturers". Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm really not sure about it. Still excited about your efforts...

The cimetery itself deserves a standing ovation... Yes, New Ray has made the Jaguar XJ 220. The model is too big. My goal is to remake it at the right scale. I am still working on it. I'm learning a lot about everything, from self-management to more technical issues, such as measurement, materials. I am going to join some sculpture classes soon at the university. I have paid my tuition. Just need 3 people and we can start. I promise. Photos coming soon. Thank you for your encouragement.
