I returned early this morning from the Amherst Railway Society train show held at the Eastern States Exposition Center and have compiled some photos from the meet & greet of 1/87 scale modelers that was held in the Quality Inn, W. Springfield, MA afterwards. We were completely taken aback by the turnout this year and actually had to have the hotel management open up a bigger space for us to all fit in. A lot of great 1/87 scale modelers were in attendance and hundreds of models were displayed. We are looking forward to having this become an annual affair now and hope to "refine" the accomodations somewhat in the future but that is not to diminish what happened last night at all. Enjoy the photos and I look forward to participating in the event again next year. s191.photobucket.com/albums/z79/chesterf/shows/springfield08/

Hello Chester, Please specify what these beauties are: Thanks in advance. Oliver Could it be that the Masterbilt models (1972 Eagle and 1972 McLaren M16B) are finally going to be available for sale? If so, count me in.

Well actually those models drew quite a few smiles. Unfortunately this is a stalled project and what you see are the only two models that exist made by the pattern maker himself, Ralph Ratcliffe. But they are absolutely beautiful. The photos don't do them justice. I too hope they will soon come to fruition.

Clearly a labor of love. Sadly, I don't think that this project will ever make any sort of business sense. But that is also why I love them and want them, maybe there are enough like me out there to make it worthwhile? I am mainly looking forward to Masterbuilt's possible Can-Am cars myself.
