Hi all: The concept of scale and matching it is foreign to most of my non-modeling and collecting relatives so I rarely get anything useable for the layout. I've often specified the hobby shop, brand and model (1/87 of course) and I still laugh one year when I got a 1/25th model of what I wanted in 1/87 - still that one looks good on the mantle in the living room.
One exception was this year my nephew gave me 100 white LEDs with the inverted cone in 5mm size. Too big for headlights but great for interior lighting and street lights. And, he even got me 100 matching dropping resistors.
Best modeling gift I've gotten in years.
And, I bought myself a couple of Ricko Mustangs and a Masterpiece step van.
What good 1/87 stuff did you get for Christmas?
Have fun, Harry

My wife has supported both of my hobbies well over the years, and this year she gave me 3 new 5 packs of Malibu vehicles from Walmart. Of course, I bought myself some Jeeps and step vans from Masterpiece!

Dear All:
Jack's pack arrived today - Stepvans, Jeep, Chrysler Airflow, Austro-Daimlers, and a couple of customized Mack CH series. In the stores, I got some more of the former Zylmex Mack Cruiseliners (Motormax also offers a Conventional Rig whose proto seems Generic; I did not touched that) and Matchbox DAF Space Tractor with an appropriate trailer from the Convoy series.
At Wal Mart, the new Audis from Malibu.
And of course, all of the 2008 Edition Matchbox and Mattel I could get (not many, really - bare shelfs everywhere).

Hi Guys: My dad sent me a gift certificate to TruckStop Models , and my wife and kids got me some of the Atlas , Masterpiece, and Athearn vehicles I had ordered from my LHS and talked him into telling me that my stuff hadn't made it yet so it was a very good Christmas for me. Oh and Santa brought my 2 oldest kids 7 and 4 some 1:87 cars on thier list as well.

Zip, nada, no hobby related gifts for me. My family refuses to add to my insanity.

"My dad sent me a gift certificate to TruckStop Models " Now that's someone who really loves you!
I got zero in the world of 1/87 as usual.

Here in Holland we don't give presents with Christmas. We have another celabration for that: Sint Nicolaas on 5 december. And I didn't get anything for my hobby either.

Bill,
Earlier you stated that Masterpiece is working on 20 models in development. Has the number been increased to 24 now or are those 4 included in your earlier post? Anyway, that is great news and I can't wait for '08!

The four are included in the total. One is the 1968 Plymouth Fury announced previously, the other three will be officially announced next Wednesday. Two of them, the 2009 Dodge Journey R/T and Dodge Challenger SRT8, you already know about. The third is the 1950 Ford Custom 4-door sedan which will be offered as a standard passenger sedan and a police car.

Santa Claus spent some time on the Truck Stop Models website and took advantage of the Ricko deals like the $7 Escalades, $6 Chrysler 300C, $7 Mustangs and $6 Lancia Deltas. He also brought me a Rietze Suxuki Grand Vitara since he knew I wanted some models of Japanese vehicles.

Dear All:
And I had the best present by hearing of the development of the 4-door 1950 Ford. It is just paradise, really. Now, if more Station Wagons will be heard of, seriously, the Authorities will find my still body staring at the Computer Screen!!!! Thank you, Bill!!!
