Any word on the Busch 70 series Toyota Landcruisers? Haven't seen anything advertised anywhere as to their release. Looking forward to those beauties.

The Toyota is available in the shops here in Europe. I have seen the red one, don't know if the other colors are out, too, but I think so.

The model looks fantastic. Nevertheless you will need to paint the rear lights, those at the sides of the rear doors. Also the rims would need some paint. Doing this you will have a beauty miniature.

Joe,
The Busch Land Cruiser is now being delivered to the U.S. and should be in-stock soon. It takes a bit longer for a container to get from Germany to here than it does for shipments in the European Union.
I got a couple of samples and the model is very nice, indeed.

Joe, Did the one with all the weathering come that way? I have seen some of the Busch pieces sold as already weathered.

Yeah Chester it is factory weathered. I think it looks pretty cool. It's labeled as the "offroad" version . The traction ramps for getting unstuck are a nice touch as well on the roof rack. I got one of these zebra models as well. Maybe I should paint this one out behind my house in the woods like that as well! ;D

I may have told you of the restored one down at the harbor. A summer person that lives out on one of the islands parks it at the launch. I'll have to get some photos of it because it is super mint. And it's green with roof racks! By the way it has nifty hinged steps at the back for getting to the roof racks that would look good on the model.

Just received the 70 series Landcruiser. It is really a very good and detailed model except the unpainted rear lights. It is not known why Busch does not paint the rear lights.

Well my batch of Landcruisers arrived in record time from Rolf Kusel in Germany and man are they beautiful. The off road version has larger tires than what was shown in the Busch catalogue making for a pleasant surprise! The two tone yellow 40 series with the tent is an absolute gem as well as the new 70 series. Can't wait to see some other models using the 70 base truck. Hopefully there's a pick up version down the line.

OK Joe, time to try those powders out. Get the gloss off of those tires and it's not a bad weathering job as is. Maybe some Cibie decals on those lights (?)
