Sometimes these automatic censoring programs produce strange words, don't they? I wonder if one would "rooster" a gun?
In any event, it's a nice model.

Wow, and I thought "roosterpit" was some kind of dragracing slang. Good job. I have one of these kits, but I have actually never even opened it. If mine turned out half as well I'd be more than pleased.

The original term was no doubt cockpit. LOL.

It is thought that the term (without the rooster substitution) originated from the word coxswain. Anyone familiar with that term knows this is the person that takes charge of navigating a sea vessel and is literally interpreted "boat boy in charge". It has informally been used and is now fairly standard automotive terminology for the place that a driver sits, particularly in a race car. Considering that a rooster is in charge of the chicken pen, I guess the use of "rooster" is appropriate.

Hi again: My apologies for using the term "roosterpit" appearing in my post (no meaning) when I typed the term "c o c k p i t". (That was probably the original term) roosterpit appeared in my post like magic.

PS - several attempts to edit the original post failed; so, there must be some sort of censor on posts. Note it slips through if you put the spaces in so I guess this censor screwed someone's original post up.

I've altered the censored words list (which came with this board) so you can use cockpit now... Automated censoring is fun ! Eric

Eric: You have that right, automated anything produces some funny and downright amazing results on the internet. LOL.
The surprise was that it was there; and, it did take me several minutes to realize what was going on. LOL again.

I had a similar problem when referring to the "Moby Dick" Porsche 935. It became "Moby Thingy" instead The engine detail is really the best part, and the skills of the photographer certainly help in making the modelling visible.
