Hello everyone:
Considering that their newsletters stated that they are listening (or at least paying attention) to the costumer's feedback and reading feedbacks on their forum I wanted to have a better idea of what might be released next. What everybody think that their next release will include? as for me I think that it might include any of the following:
- 1974 Monaco from the Blues Brothers. - 1969 Dodge Charger R/T from Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry or Dukes of Hazzard or Fast & Furious. - 1958 Plymouth Fury in the movie "Christine" - DeLorean from "Back to the Future"
I am not sure though whether these movies were made by Paramount , Universal or others. Anybody has any information or ideas of what to expect? Regards

The DeLorean is scheduled to be in the next round of Reel Rides. The Pontiac Firebird "K.I.T.T." from "Knight Rider" is also coming at some point.

Hello: Thanks Bill. I did not expect an answer from you. the DeLorean should sell well in the three scales I think. So the Firebird "K.I.T.T." from "Knight Rider" is the GM model you were talking about? regards.

Definitely two of my favourite movie (series) cars of all time! I hope the DeLorean will be the one from the second Back to the Future movie, the one with the "Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor" mounted on the roof, that would be a very nice touch! ;D

Dear All:
K.I.T.T. is the Pontiac Firebird that appeared in that TV show. Nice touch; an additional model of it, besides the one from ERTL. And the De Lorean was overdue in 1/87 scale, no matter which edition will be made.

I talk to the folks putting the program together now and then; when they give me something I can mention, I pass it on. Bill

Hopefully a DeLorean casting will also be used by someoneto make a "civilian" version. I am not interested in movie cars, but would certainly like a regular DeLorean.
The Firebird from Knight Rider is from circa '83, correct? How close is the movie car to the real thing?

I'm with skunk on this one, I really have no interest in the movie version of the Delorean, just give me the civilian version and I'll buy a few. Actually, the more mundane the movie version vehicle, the better.

A mundane DeLorean? Isn't that a bit of an oxymoron? Personally I have no interest at all in the DeLorean unless it has a good set of wheels to cannabalize. Wonder if the doors will open.

Dear All:
Like or not, the De Lorean which will be made by Reel Rides will be the movie version, this is the most popular model of it. In the 1980's, only Zee Toys had a (mundane) model of it;I think the doors of it open. It stated to be sriously molded at the end of the 1990's, mostly as a 'Back of the Future' item.
With the enormous amount of surprises I been experimeting this year, I would not say that a stock version may not be made, tough.

Reel Rides will probably make at least some of the highly modified movie cars in such a way they can be made as a stock version for inclusion in the Malibu International line. I won't say the DeLorean is among these, but I know of at least two upcoming Reel Rides that are.

Dear All: That what I tought, after I saw (last year) how another manufacturer trated some of their very 'customized' items. I like this info.

More Stores, More Cars
Based on the great response we've received, we are excited to inform you that the cars will be sold in more U.S. Wal-Mart stores this Fall! You will find the 1:87 and 1:64 scale in roughly 3 times as many stores and the 1:24 scale in nearly double the number of stores. We'll send you the new store list when it's ready.
We know you're all excited to find out what's in the next release. We have a slight change in timing with the cars expected to be on-shelf in early Fall. The cars come from the following action-packed movies:
Back to the Future Knight Rider Blues Brothers Casino Italian Job
