Hi all: It appears that finally Fresh Cherries and Reel Rides have made it across the country. I picked up some more Tempos, Escorts and Bobcats today for parts cars from my Wal-Mart.
If your Wal-Mart doesn't have them let us know and maybe we (those in areas that have them) can export them to you.
Looking to more releases from Malibu, Fresh Cherries, Reel Rides (their forum is open for you to post in) and anyone else who wants to join the 1/87 tidal wave.

Dear All:
Managed to get the GTX (in two scales).Hm.I would not say is nice, but it exists;the 1/64 version can be along with later year models which were made by other manufacturers (including the one from Playing Mantis/Johnny Lightning) while the HO version will sit there alone, with few other Mopars.Since I found a couple of 1/87 scaled ones, the second is already in its way to Chicago,so Jack can do someting about the grille (way off) and other details.

Hi all: Today I picked up a couple of Malibu 1953 Cadillac Eldorados; that pink was around. Also a rather strong 'baby blue' color was used too. One of mine will eventually be blue.
Also got the 1937 Beetle by Malibu.

Bought today: - Brekina's Ford Taunus Coupe GLX in black and grey: very nice model - SAI's kit of Peugeot 202 sedan: good quality kit in white metal, as usual with SAI's kits.

O.K. Sylvain,
Let's blow some new life in this topic! Last weekend I found a red Citroën TA from Brekina; a VW TL Pick up (To use the cabin for something else) and the Moskvitch from Herpa.

Dear All:
I went to my P.O. box close to the Post Office's closing time and I had a small pack from Jack, containing a couple of Fresh Cherries that he modified: the Pinto Wagon and the Bobcat, which was made as a Pinto.

They did not need to change the bumpers - they are identical on Elegance and Avantgarde models. What you mean is the optional Sport or AMG pack with biggers wheels and more aggressively styled bumpers. The columns next to the fog lamps are angled to the other side than on stock Avantgarde/Elegance models - but only on models with the Sport/AMG package.

Marc S. PS: Now, where is Albert's post (re: Busch's 2007 MB C-class) I responded to? My thought exactly... I haven't bought anything in a while, since last month when I purchased forty-plus old Herpas and others from some guy who advertised in the trade area. However, there are lots of Atlas models in the mail for me...

Bought a couple of Classic Metal Works HO 1936 Ford Ford door Sedans today. First look very close before you buy. One of mine had a big dent in the hood. Also check the paint as they seem to be spotty. The package says "hood that opens with detailed engine". This just ain't so. The hood is part of the body casting.

I have always been skeptical of CMW since they showed photos of a larger scale model representing a soon-to-be-released 1/87 scale model on their site some time ago. The 36 Ford looks promising though. Lose the glass insert for starters. It's a problem all their models have.

As there were no answers yet, I deleted my post, but just then you were answering. Thanks for your reply, Marc.

Ordered through eBay a few weeks ago and just arrived by mail at my doorstep: models of a Lada Samara 3 and 5-door, UAZ 469B and ZIL 130 dumper. I don't know from which manufacturer they are, but they are clearly (partly) handcrafted and they look great! Nice shape of the Samaras, with all the details painted (could use some new wheels though...)

Dear Sabuu and all,
Hi. With reference to the Lada Samaras you have just received, I think these are the ones I continually look at on e-bay, from scale miniatures (rain_318 - hope I am allowed to say that). Are they really that good looking - yes apart from the dodgy wheels! I have been thinking about getting these for a long time, but was not sure of paint quality and price is a little high for the number of models I want. Would you say the quality is worth the price ?
Also just received the Ricko Ford GT, BMW M6 and Alfa Romeo Brera. All very good quality in my opinion and that Brera...the detail inside the car is brilliant, that centre console is amazing for such a small scale model. Well done and what a beautiful car.
Also received my selection of Herpa magic cars. Great stuff and for the price you cannot complain. In fact, the quality is good actually. However, I do so wish Brekina had got their first on a top decoration Alfasud model.
Looking forward to Ricko's new plans (if there are any) after they finish their 2006 planned models. Should I warn my bank manager again ?
Thansk, Gary

Gary, what about the wheels in the Brera?

I'm not Gary, but I also have the Brera. The wheels look small and they're as thin as all the Ricko wheels. But the alloys look good, and the size may just really be 1/87th scale.
