Cor, If this is the truck you refer to, it is a 1956 Chevrolet LCF (lower cab forward). A real find if you can. (I look for this always as well as the long hood version) www.michael-broer.de/high70.htmThe other I have heard referred to as "US Zugmaschine" does look like a cabover MAN but I have also heard it referred to as a Ford but I believe this is incorrect. These come up often on ebay.

Cor,
that 'US Zugmaschine' was not made after a prototype, the 3-axle tractor was made from the mould of the MAN 10.230 tractor that Wiking offered previously. That cab became obsolete because the MAN 10.230 had been replaced by a new version in 1/1 which was offered by Wiking on the MAN-Bussing models.

Dear Eric:
Thanks for the information,I been wondering (I have this truck and was a pain to identify it and was wondering why, since Wiking accurately describes its vehicles) about that Cabover Truck for a while.Hm. A 'imagination' Vehicle. Not bad.

Cor (dutchart): How about a photo of what you are talking about. I mean a URL to where one is posted.
I do recall a vehicle called "a US style zugmachine" (by Viking in model form) that was made to cope with standarized container trailers and hookups for them. It had dual exhausts vertically behind the cab as most US over-the-road machines had.

Hi Michael: Thanks for the photos, indeed that is the one I remember. My Viking catalogs from that period are in a box in a closet; and, there are other models in boxes in front of the closet. So, it would be difficult for me to have checked my old catalog.

Hi all: Thanks for the Viking URLs; I've put them in my favorites and will look later. Often the catalogs have "proposals" that never are actually made. So, I save them.
