Christian:
I am sorry to say you are correct. None of the manufacturers make light vehicle models.
Right now, the only American manufacturer who might make a new car or light truck is probably Atlas, and I haven't heard anything from them in a while.
Atlas is very frustrating. They have a very generous license agreement with Ford. They can make new models with only a final approval from Ford. But their rule is that each vehicle product must not only recoup its investment before they commit to a new project. Of course, they are really in the model railroad business, so they have other products that are more pressing.
Ironically, CMW is only a body shell away from a plastic model. The chassis of the new Impala and Custom 500 are plastic and they are really well done. The bumpers, interior and "glass" insert are all plastic. I would love to see Bill Giacci drop the other show, but as the company is called "Classic Metal Works," that's unlikely.

Dear Sirs:
So I gather that we need to wait until May in order to know who's the new manufacturer,is that right?

Model Power was not the manufacture that Bill was talking about because he said no light vehicle models would be produced by them, at least at first release.
