I see where the Hobby Expo is coming to Los Angeles in October. www.ihobbyexpo.com/If you go to the map and put your cursor over a booth, you can see the various manufactures signed up so far. At $11.25 per square foot, I don't think Jerry and I will be doing any show and tell. We will just play looky loo with the rest of the the herd. I'll take my camera.

Dear Lee:
Thanks for the info. I will go there as well;I wanted a show such as that for ages but never had the opportunity because mostl of these events happened outside California.
And yes,herd indeed.
If I am not wrong, a similar show happened in Anaheim California a couple of months ago.

As it stands right now, I will be working the show for Ricko and/or Model Railroad News.
If anyone from the group makes it to the show, please stop by Booth 846. I would like to meet you.

Lee: I have often thought one of the best ideas anyone could have would be a moderate-sized booth with a set-aside section containing a few chairs and some catalogs. Probably pick up a few nice sales that way.

When I go to the Auto Show, always go home with a three pound bag loaded with catalogs. Nick K

Hmmm... a stuffed sofa for a stuffed shirt? Might work but not sure I want it.

A week for you, maybe! I fly into LA on Tuesday. We set up on Wednesday and the show opens to the trade on Thursday. Monday we tear down and I fly back to Texas the next day.

For all who are going to the iHobby Expo, be sure to see the '20s & '30s Modular Model Railroad display adjacent to the indoor flying area. We'll have dozens of pre-WWII HO vehicle models. I hope to have my first Cutter model, a black '38 Cadillac, finished in time to put on my Packard dealer's used car lot (the showroom features new '42s from Greg's Garage in the fall of '41). Although named '20s & '30s, our time period is 1920 to Pearl Harbor Day. One of the modules features a big rig trailer being loaded. A guy with a loaded dolly goes in and a while later comes out with an empty dolly. It's very subtle so if you don't see it, ask.
I'll be at the railroad display on Thursday and Friday (hobby trade days) and at the Maisto die-cast booth on Saturday and Sunday (public days). Stop by and say "Hi!" No one knows me by "zed" (just an internet name). Ask for Charles.

I've got my camera, I've got my tripod, I've got spare batteries and a recharger. This means I will probably come home with two or three pictures at best.
